Big Brother 14: Shane Meaney Houseguest Profile
July 12, 2012 |Shane Meaney, 26, is yet another Big Brother 14 cast member who is a ‘model’ in addition to his day job of being a house flipper. They should just change this season’s name to Big Brother: Model Wannabe Edition. Oh, wait, that would be pretty much every season wouldn’t it?
Oddly, Shane Meaney is one of only two moderately attractive, straight guys in the house this year, which is weird considering there are four typical ‘hot’ ladies are in the Big Brother 14 cast. Wil Hantz is gay, Ian Terry is playing up the nerd thing (although he is kind of cute, but also still young and unformed), Chef Joe Arvin is older and married, and frank is just blah with bad hair. Willie Hantz is attractive, but not in that super hot kind of way Big Brother usually likes. You do have to wonder why Shane allowed this horrible photo of himself looking weird and greasy, when most of his modeling photos are exceedingly more attractive.
We suspect Mike the Sailing Instructor was supposed to provide more showmance material for the ladies before he got replaced with Chef Joe. Too bad.
Shane Meaney, a graduate of Lydon State College, makes his living as a house flipper as the owner of Quality Home Investments real estate. He is also a fitness model & trainer and the owner of Explosive Performance Fitness, according to his LinkedIn Profile. However, he plans on telling the other houseguests that he is just a beer and wine salesman and does some personal training.
Shane has removed his previous Facebook page linked to from his About.Me page, which is pretty common for Big Brother contestants who don’t want the whole world to know what sort of crazy stuff they used to spout on their wall. His Twitter feed is still up but holds little of interest besides a lot of self-promotion and fitness tips.
Mike’s modeling resume includes being picked as the Bachelor 2012 Vermont in Cosmo and working with photographer Alan Rust for On Display Men Magazine.

Anyway, I digress. Shane Meaney — who compares himself to Brendon from last season — is muscle-bound and cute enough, but somehow comes across rather smarmy. Still, he is probably the most likely man to end up in a showmance and he is all for it. In fact, he says his biggest downfall will probably be the “females in the house.” In fact, his preseason interviews are full of talk about how much he loves the ladies, and how sexy hot and awesome he is. Really, it’s too much.
Shane won’t however, be going for Wil Heuser because he is very firm that he’ll do anything to stay in the game except “hook up with a gay guy.” Which is fine for a straight guy, but we hope he’s not hiding some homophobia under there considering he’ll be shacked up with two gays this summer, Wil and Jenn Arroyo.
We wish we could have warned the ladies of the house that he likes to sleep “commando”.
As far as Big Brother goes, Shane isn’t really a big fan, but he’s watched it here and there. He’d like to be a “hero” on the show if he can, but since he plans to start off totally lying about his profession, that seems unlikely.
Our Prediction: Shane is a strong, athletic guy and thus he will probably be good at the physical competitions. I’m not seeing him do so well in the mental games though. He is the most likely male to end up in a showmance. I’m going to go with the most likely person being either Ashley Iocco (the whole tan and fit thing) or Danielle Stallings because he likes the Southern ladies. I think Kara Monaco will peg him as smarmy and Jojo Spatafora will just not be his type, especially since he doesn’t like “chatty women”. Mostly, I think people are not going to like this guy and unless he gets in a strong alliance or a useful showmance, he’s outta there before the finals. If he can use his muscles to win competitions though, he might make it to the final five or so.

I feel really sorry for you…
What is the deal with this dude? Why does he think he has muscles? He literally has a body of a 12 year old boy or 14 at best. He is even making work out videos… Really? He must be delusional. He should at least wait for his body to hit puberty.
Shane should rethink his alliance with Britney, because she sees him as a puppet…he should’ve alined with Frank, because they have similar personalities and strengths… But since he got mommas boy tendencies he alined with a woman who is actively manipulating him.
Britney is a strong player! I’m sorry, but I believe he allianed with someone that is good at the game, she is a strong competitor and she proves it each time
Sorry, it is ONLY becuase of the ‘coaches’ dynamic. It ruined BB14. Players clung to coaches. Britney played beyond paranoid that her sights only set on Frank the entire show (along with Dan’s) and it really screwed her for not being aware of the threats she made her bed with. Could’ve have COASTED to final 6 if not 4 if they stayed silent six. Had the strongest players in the house and were too scared of the best player that has play BB since Dan in BB10. BB14 Dan is weak compared to that version.

Terrible right up… Frank is the biggest pimp in that house. I’m fairly sure by just his personality and integrity he’s landed a lot of women. Opinionated write up to say the least. Pretty obvious who you dislike and don’t. You’re insinuations about homophobic, etc is just wrong for a ‘profile’ as you call it.
So disappointed that Frank got the AC gift from BB. They kept on editing him like he had been wronged big time and deserved some bandaid for his wounds. He was EFFECTIVELY evicted week 3.
He was, back then, oblivious about what was happening around him. His face when evicted would have made for some great tv. Live feeders were looking forward to that moment all week. By that time, he, this big physical threat, had only won 1 comp, and it was a Q&A. Which Ian admitted throwing. Wow, what a resumee.
Still, BB changed the game to keep him because they wanted to see the Froogie rants go on. Does anyone honestly believe that they would have cancelled the eviction if it had been Joe going out the door? “Houseguests, you have 4 additional players today… Oh, and, by the way, the one who would have left today stays too!”
Even if they wanted to market it as a reset, it would have been the logical thing to do since Jodi had to leave on day one.
That week, Shane had won HOH, POV and backdoored Frank. Yet, BB never treated or edited Shane like he was wronged. They gave the America’s Choice money to a guy that says he didn’t work for the last 3 years straight because “he hadn’t found anything that he was interested in” – living off tax payer’s money and his family’s wealth.
BB put so much editing effort into hiding to the CBS viewers how much Frank, who had given great speeches about “bullying is bad” and “keep it classy”, turned out to be the biggest bully of them all, threatening and insulting them every time things didn’t go his way. I’m not a fan of Willie and there’s no excuse for how he behaved, but do you remember how Frank’s lying created this whole mess? He told Wil that Willie had been making homophobic slurs. He, the only guy of them all to “play a clean, honest game”.
BB even passed on the opportunity for some great entertainment for the cbs viewers by showing them what the live feeders saw, how he kept on being oblivious to what was happening around him the entire game. He hounded, threatened and insulted Dan and Shane in a despicable way based on a wrong assumption; he kept on believing everybody would want to keep him around because he deserved to win the game. His opponents. Only there to let him win. He told them that he was the best player to ever play this game. He told them it was common knowledge that he would win 7-0 if he makes it to the finals. Great game moves by the best player ever. That BB did such a P.R. effort and him winning America’s Choice just fries my brain.
BB could have given the 25.000$ to someone actually deserving, like, and this of course is only my personal opinion, Shane, who pays off his student’s loans plus his parent’s mortgage, works his a** off and still has so little money that he pretty much admitted (to Britney on BBAD) to not being able to go out at all.
He lied in this game like they all did, but he didn’t rub it in everyone’s face, he didn’t rant on about how much they all sucked like Frank and Boogie did, and he didn’t try to make the others look like idiots to the viewers. Whether BB did actually rig the AC results, or just got this result by constantly editing stuff pro Frank, they should be ashamed of what they did.
Just my opinion.

I totally agree!! Frank was the least deserving of the AC and it should have been Shane who won since Shane played a better game and actually needed the money. Frank was just a big bully that unless you watched the live feeds and After Dark you would not understand.
