The State of the Game Report – Thursday, Week 6

Early Thursday morning, Frank Eudy breaks the news to Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin that Chef Joe Arvin is not going to vote for him at eviction. This effectively seals the deal that Boogie will go home this week barring some crazy twist or massive house switch. Joe knows he is now on the top of Frank’s sh*t list and hides in bed from them. Boogie and Frank are also furious at Jenn Arroyo because they think she has also flipped to the other side. Frank shows some of his true colors by using a rather racist remark and calling her “dirty brown trash.”

After the houseguests were put on lockdown around 10:35 AM BBT, Mike Boogie gives a speech to everyone in the Head of Household room. He says he knows he is going to go home and he wants the drama to be over and everyone to be nice until the eviction. Frank gets all emotional, again, talking about how this isn’t just a game, it’s more than that to him, yada yada yada.

The other houseguests really don’t seem to care that much. They are too worried about thinking through their next moves and if there is going to be some kind of crazy twist soon, like a Pandora’s Box.

When the indoor lockdown ends around 11:30 AM BBT, some of the houseguests go looking for evidence of a Pandora’s Box or some other weirdness, but don’t find anything. Same thing when the outdoor lockdown ends. It looks like there will not be a Pandora’s Box this week.

Ian Terry continues to be a wild card in the game as he goes back and forth between Frank/Boogie and the Quack Pack shuttling information… not all of it truthful or accurate. Ian tells the Quack Pack Frank is planning to put up Danielle and Dan if he wins HoH and try to get Shane and Britney on his side. Britney is not pleased that Ian told Dan and Danielle about Frank’s plan because she thinks they might try to make a deal with him, leaving her and Shane exposed as big targets. She is not very nice to Ian.

Honestly, it is hard to tell where Ian’s head is right now. Sometimes he seems brilliant, sometimes it seems he has no clue what he is doing and is a total dumbass at game play.

Early in the afternoon, Frank tried to work Dan Gheesling to vote for Boogie to stay and blame the vote switch on Chef Joe. Frank promises that if Dan does this, he will not go after him. Dan, of course, is not going to go for this. He tells Danielle and Britney about the offer, but that he did not agree to vote to keep Boogie.

The houseguests are put on lockdown inside again. When they are released, they find a game out back to practice on for the upcoming Head of Household Competition. They each get five minutes to play with the game. All of them, including the current Head of Household, Shane Meaney. This pretty much reveals to the houseguests that this week will be a definite double eviciton week.

Britney gets pissy with Ian Terry once again later in the evening because he won’t just come out and commit totally to putting up Frank Eudy if he wins Head of Household. She is again, not very nice to him. Ian says he is on their side and he will target Frank, but they don’t trust him and neither do I. Danielle also goes after Ian about putting up Frank if he wins HoH.

Someone needs to get that guy out of the house, I agree, especially after his whole spiel about being the greatest, strongest, most intelligent player ever to Joe earlier in the day when he was trying to get Joe on his side.

One person I do know Ian really wants out of the house is Joe. He obviously can’t stand him and he just keeps talking about it.

Moving on to Thursday morning… Even though Joe announced yesterday to Frank that he was going to vote against Boogie, he has acted waffly about it ever since. Boogie and Frank still think they can possibly wrangle his vote and pull a miracle out of their asses… because they still think they have Ian Terry and Ashley Iocco voting to keep Boogie. They are also still hopefully they could still possibly get Dan to change his vote.

In truth though, they both pretty much know Boogie is going home. Frank gives a long speech to the Big Brother live feed cameras around 9 AM BBT about how much of a shame it is that a ‘good guy’ like Boogie has to go home. He wants to win HoH to dole out some punishment, but he would almost even more like Ian or Ashley to win (yeah, Frank, you don’t know as much as you think you do). He calls Shane a bad character and says he is nothing but a boy. He says Dan is afraid of him. He is egotistical to the point of ridiculousness.

The Big Brother live feeds cut out for an extremely long time Thursday morning, but there doesn’t seem to be any really good reason for it. When they come back, Jenn is packing her bag. Joe tells her not to bother. Frank tells Ian not to give up hope. You have to give it to Ian, he really does have Frank convinced he is his golden boy.

That’s pretty much how it stands now in the few hours remaining before the Big Brother 14 live eviction show Thursday night. At this point only a miracle (or last minute game twist) is going to save Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin from following his veteran arch-nemesis Janelle Pierzina out the eviction door.
