Big Brother 18 Recap: Paulie Prays for Roundtrip Ticket – 8/18/2016

They sit down and watch the Head of Household competition where Zakiyah dropped early, and then Paulie came down right after very ‘sketch’. Then they watch the Power of Veto and Da’Vonne cannot believe that Paulie won the Veto and Zakiyah is sitting right there next to her. Da’Vonne says she knew he was shady! And they watch how James cancelled out the votes that helped get Zakiyah evicted too.

Bridgette comes in the house next and although she hates being third Jury member, she’s glad she blew up the game before she left. The three ladies watch how Bridgette got evicted, and everyone loves how Michelle totally blew up on everyone at the eviction because she was convinced she was going home. They all hope Paulie will be coming into the house next!

Now it’s time for the live eviction. Paulie gives his little speech and it’s obviously an exit speech. He says he hopes to hang out with everyone after the season is over. He goes one by one through everyone and tells them they are all awesome in some way, and he hopes to be friendly with everyone. The last person is Michelle, and he says Meech has found so much this season, except a showmance. So he grabs her, dips her, and plants one on her!

Corey’s speech is anticlimactic after that. His best bit was telling Nicole she’s the sweetest, cuddliest snake he’s ever met.

Paulie gives big hugs all the way around to everyone as he exits. He picks Julie Chen up off her feet before taking a seat for his exit interview. She says that won’t get him back into the house, but maybe his ticket envelope will. She asks for it and gathers the houseguests into the living room. She opens it up and… it’s a One Way Ticket. They are now all expired and Paulie will be going to the Jury house.

Julie says Paulie was running the house there, what happened? Paulie says he thought everyone was locked in, but they turned against him as a team. Paulie says all his weeping and wailing after going on the block was just a strategy. But he says crying doesn’t work for men like it does for women, apparently.

As for Zakiyah, Paulie says he wasn’t playing her but it’s hard to have an emotional connection in the game. He basically tries to avoid talking about the possibility of a future relationship there, but Julie calls him on it and says “that’s a no, that’s a no folks” basically.

The Round Trip Ticket has now expired, so now we’ll find out who actually had it.

Paulie gets his goodbye messages, including Meech calling him a “poor man’s Derrick” and Corey saying he’s gotten a “new brother” this summer. Now it’s time for Paulie go off to Jury.

So who would have been able to come back into the house if they’d been evicted? Turns out it would have been… Paul! He solved the puzzle of the secret room and got the Round Trip Ticket.
