Big Brother 18 Sunday Recap: Frank’s Pawn Takes Power – 7/11/2016

Thursday night left Big Brother 18 fans speculating when Spy Girls member Bridgette Dunning became the new Head of Household. On Sunday night’s episode, the houseguests were a bit nervous and bombarded her on where exactly her head may be in this game. Would she keep her all-girl alliance safe or would she decide to go out of her comfort zone and get a little blood on her hands this week?

Although Bridgette may have her mind made up ahead of time about who she might want to target, it was obvious her ally Frank Eudy was the one really in control. Frank wanted to steer Bridgette towards putting up Tiffany Rousso this week, while keeping the other 8-Pack alliance members safe.

Zakiyah Everette was nervous because she hasn’t been hanging out much with Bridgette, so she was worried that Bridgette may not know her well enough and feel as if she couldn’t be trusted. Zakiyah didn’t want to go home yet.

As the night continued and various houseguests tried to influence who Brigette should put up, Bridgette decided to ask James for a bit of advice since he had already been through this. James told her that a lot of people were going to pressure her into putting up so and so but she is HOH and this is her time to do what she feels is best for her game.

Frank talked to Bridgette about who to put up as nominations this week and threw out that perhaps she should put up Tiffany with Bronte or Paul. Bridgette told Frank that her idea was to either nominate Nicole and Corey because they could be a power couple on the same team or Tiffany, since she has been really shady and allegedly going after Frank.

Nicole is a returnee from Big Brother 16. During her stay in the BB house, viewers watched first hand her showmance with HG Hayden Moss. Once she had returned, we learned that Hayden and Nicole sadly had a few differences and it just didn’t work out. Earlier in this season (BB18) Nicole started to hit it off with HG Corey Brooks. Nicole said she didn’t come into this game looking for a showmance BUT Corey is like the cutest guy she has ever seen. She said she is trying to keep him a strictly professional working partner in this game and they shouldn’t flirt because it distracts her game play.

This season we have also seen first hand that Frank can be a bit intimidating with some of his game play moves. The housguests are becoming tired of his jokes. In fact, Da’vonne Rogers revealed that she was upset because Frank slapped her on the butt, called her names and was saying vulgar jokes.

Da’Vonne did not want people outside of the BB house to think she was a loose cannon or something, but she became emotional and upset over Frank’s behavior toward her. Paulie and Corey tried to comfort her then Frank walked in and found her crying. Frank apologized for his actions and told Da’vonne that he doesn’t do those things to people unless he is close with them and he didn’t mean to offend her in any way. Da’vonne played along with his apology due to Frank being close with Bridgette.

At the Nomination Ceremony, Bridgette nominated Paul and Tiffany. She explained that her choices were because it was a game move and she offered both of them to come up to her HOH room and discuss her decision over hot cheetos. Bridgette later revealed that she had nominated Tiffany due to trust issues and her going after Frank. Paul was left unsure as to why he was nominated. Bronte informed Bridgette that she believed Tiffany knew that Bridgette’s decision might have been a part of Frank’s plan. Bronte told Bridgette about the incident between Frank and Da’vonne and told her that she needs to be aware for future decisions.

It was finally time for the BB Roadkill Competition. Titled Horn Star, HG’s would be honking horns to win the chance to send someone’s butt crashing onto the nomination block. Before the HG’s begin, they would have to practice by pressing each horn to hear the different sound each one made. When they are ready, they would hit the button to begin the clock. The button would trigger a sequence of 8 horns sound effects.

After hearing the sequence the goal was to match it by pressing the horns in the correct order. If at any point they would hit a incorrect horn in the sequence, they would hear a street screech and have to try again from the beginning while the clock continues to run. The person who successfully pressed the correct sequence of 8 horns in the shortest amount of time would win the Roadkill Competition.

This week’s Roadkill Competition winner was Frank. Frank’s plan was to put up Bronte but if she were to come down then he would replace her with Natalie. During the Roadkill Reveal Ceremony, Head of Household Bridgette found out along with the other houseguests that her Spy Girls ally Bronte was the third nominee for the block and she was not happy about it.

Bronte, Tiffany and Paul will all face off on Wednesday night’s episode during the Power of Veto competition. Or if you can’t wait to find out who won, you can get the scoop on our Big Brother 18 spoilers page.
