Big Brother 18 Tonight: Will Paulie’s Backdoor Plan Succeed?

For the second week in a row, the house majority alliance, the 8-Pack, have executed their plans for eviction perfectly. Last week they sent the unsuspecting and self-proclaimed “Messiah of the Newbies” out the door, Jozea Flores.

Big Brother 18 Eviction 2

Last night, Victor Arroyo looked much like a deer caught in the headlights when Paulie Calafiore announced him as the replacement nominee for his buddy Paul Abrahamian. Does Victor have the mastermind ability to talk and scheme his way out of becoming the next victim of the 8-Pack’s game plan?

Last night’s episode featured the Power of Veto competition, Welcome to the Toezarks, which was the infamous Big Brother spelling competition. The three Block nominees Bronte D’Aquisto, Paul Abrahamian, and Tiffany Rousso, along with Paulie, Da’Vonne Rogers, and Zakiyah Everette participated in the competition.

After the players were covered in nasty toe cheese and various fungi, Paulie won the very close competition. This was the perfect scenario so that the target for the week, Victor, could be nominated to the Block in Big Brother “backdoor” style.
This could not have played out any better for HOH Paulie. This was exactly the way he wanted nominations to go. He took Paul off the Block for showing loyalty during the week, and replaced Paul with his primary target, Victor. Now, the only thing left to do is sit back and count the votes to evict Victor tonight…or so Paulie thinks.

Things are never exactly as they seem in the Big Brother house. Da’Vonne, the leader of the all-girls Fatal 5 alliance, isn’t so sure the girls shouldn’t take advantage of an opportunity presented to them so perfectly. Tiffany has been ruffling feathers in the house for over a week now and presents a big risk to the group, and the general consensus has been to let her go; however, that plan was not for her eviction this week.

Tiffany is a member of the 8-Pack alliance and also a member of the Fatal 5 alliance. In addition, she is in close with current HOH Paulie. He certainly will not change his vote from Victor to Tiffany. Da’Vonne is convinced that when an opportunity presents itself to them in the game, they would be fools not to take advantage of the opportunity to evict Tiffany. After Da’Vonne busted Tiffany playing her heart out on the POV competition, this only solidified Day’s thoughts of a blindside to Tiffany. Tiffany was instructed to throw the POV competition and had agreed to do so.

Victor is convinced that once he does some hard work talking to everyone in the house, he can sway the houseguests to vote for either Tiffany or Bronte. Paulie thinks his plan is falling perfectly into place to evict Victor, which was his plan all week. Da’Vonne and the other girls in the Fatal 5 alliance just may campaign around the house and get the few extra votes they need for a true blindside of Tiffany. We are always told to expect the unexpected, and tonight’s episode is already setting the stage to follow that advice.
