Big Brother 21 and Love Island USA 2019 Cross-Promotion (VIDEOS and PICTURES)

If you watch any CBS show, then you’ve probably seen at least a million ads promoting Love Island USA 2019. Clearly, CBS is trying hard to make Love Island USA just as huge as the UK original. One way, the network is trying to promote the new series is by comparing it to your favorite Summer reality show: Big Brother.

In many ways, Love Island and Big Brother have similarities. They both involve strangers living in a house together, people getting voted off, multiple episodes a week, and showmances. To help drive in that showmance connection between the series, CBS and Big Brother had Bayleigh Dayton and Christopher “Swaggy C” Williams to participate in a press junket for the series.

They also invited Tyler Crispen and Angela Rummans to participate, but according to Bayleigh, they didn’t want to do it. So they invited the biggest bromance of Big Brother 20: Brett Robinson and Winston Hines. If you saw Sunday night’s Big Brother 21 episode, you also saw these two pairs.

Big Brother helped with promoting Love Island 2019 by having a Power of Veto competition themed around the reality series. Brett, Winston, Bayleigh, and Swaggy C mentioned how the winner of this week’s Veto competition also wins a trip to Fiji, where Love Island is currently being filmed.

Along with filming the Veto video, Swaggy C, Bayleigh, Brett, and Winston interviewed the new Love Island USA cast. They also participated in a fun photoshoot for their time in Fiji. Additionally, Bayleigh and Swaggy C filmed a whole vlog about the trip (which you can watch below). They also posted a fun clip of them playing a game called “Spill the Tea” where Swaggy, Brett, Bayleigh, and Winston had to answer questions about each other by spilling actual tea on each other.
