Big Brother 23 Houseguest Replaced Due To Testing Positive For COVID-19

The Big Brother 23 houseguests were revealed last week. We met the 16 new houseguests competing for the title of Big Brother 23 winner and $500,000. However, now the 16 houseguests have been swapped out. Christie Valdisherri has been removed from the Big Brother 23 house and replaced with Claire Rehfuss.

News of the replacement started to take-over social media last night when certain Big Brother accounts started posting cryptic messages about a cast replacement. They shared that they couldn’t say who was replaced yet and why because of press embargoes. Then pictures of Claire surfaced on social media as well.

US Magazine first confirmed that Christie was replaced due to testing positive for COVID-19. Christie took to the official Big Brother Instagram page to explain what happened and her emotions about the whole incident.

“I have the vaccine and I’ve been following all the guidelines up until this point. I have absolutely no symptoms. I feel perfectly fine, so I’m really grateful for that. But it’s really frustrating because I won’t be playing in Big Brother this summer.”

Claire is a 25-year-old from Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She works as an AI engineer.

We’re sad to see Christie go, especially in such an unfortunate manner. Hopefully, she gets another chance to play in the future. We look forward to meeting Christie and the rest of the Big Brother 23 cast on Wednesday, July 7!
