Tonight, we have the first Big Brother 23 eviction. It all comes down to whether Travis Long or Alyssa Lopez will be the first houseguest to leave the Big Brother 2021 house. No one wants to leave the Big Brother game first because let’s face it, it’s embarrassing to be the first evicted. Alyssa and Travis have been trying to stay in the game. However, ultimately whether Alyssa or Travis stays depends on the other Big Brother 23 houseguests.
Alyssa and Travis both thought they were safe this week because current Head of Household Brandon “Frenchie” French promised them both safe. Frenchie promised not to nominate or target a woman, but then his little suspicions of a showmance landed Alyssa on the block. On night one, Frenchie promised the first set of competitors: Derek Frazier, Xavier Prather, and Travis, safety. With Derek Xiao winning Power of Veto and Christian Birkenberger winning the Wildcard Competition, Frenchie’s “big fish” choices were limited.
He has one conversation with his former target Brent Champagne, and quickly shifts gears to Travis. Travis and Alyssa have both been campaigning, but the houseguests’ minds were made up the moment Travis hit the block. They don’t want to evict a woman first, especially the women who want to take the house majority this year. Unless Travis can offer his firstborn child or something else of value to the houseguest, then Travis will be evicted tonight by a unanimous vote. There may be one hinky vote or two as Frenchie asked Tiffany Mitchell to throw a vote against Alyssa so he could blame it on Derek X.
We’ll have to wait until tonight to see if Tiffany and/or others throw a rogue vote to create some drama.
