Big Brother Canada Auditions Now Open – How to Apply!
August 1, 2012 |If you have been waiting anxiously for the Big Brother Canada auditions to finally open, we have awesome news! Starting right now, you can submit your Big Brother Canada auditions application online or start planning your trip to one of the Big Brother Canada casting open calls nationwide.
Shaw Media and Insight Productions have announced that Big Brother Canada auditions applications will be available starting today, August 1st. Applicants for Big Brother Canada auditions must be at least 19 years old and must be legal Canadian citizens. Here is the official blurb on what kind of Big Brother Canada cast they are looking for:
“Big Brother Canada is in search of extroverts, conformists, risk takers, adventurers, romantics, leaders, plotters and planners, and those who don’t mind a little healthy competition. If you’re ready to strategize with fellow Canadians living in a house packed with cameras watching your every move, Big Brother Canada wants to hear from you.”
Before you start your Big Brother Canada auditions application online or head off to your Big Brother Canada casting open call, make sure you prepare a (short) video audition tape. This is crucial! Show the producers why you are special, unique, interesting, and they want to cast you! Here are some tips from the Big Brother Canada auditions sheet on making your video:
- Shoot during the day with lights facing you – we want to see your face clearly
- Find a quiet place to film – there is no point in selling yourself to the camera if we can’t hear what you are selling
- Remember this tape may end up on TV or the internet for a looong time, so try to shoot landscape and make sure you’re happy with the final cut
You will also need a head shot to go with your Big Brother Canada online application or to take with you to an open casting call.
Big Brother Canada online applications will be accepted from now through October 16, 2012 and can be submitted at www.bigbrothercanada.ca. Open casting calls are currently scheduled for:
- Vancouver – September 23
- Calgary – September 30
- Halifax – October 7
- Montreal – October 7
- Toronto – October 14
Big Brother Canada season 1 will debut on Slice in the winter of 2013.

I still say Jordan and Jeff are the two that think they shuold win and no one but them shuold want to win. I hope no one votes for Jeff as the favorite player after seeing him tonight. Adam is a joke. I am tired of him talking to camera late night. I can not decide if he wants a job announcing or if he is playing BB.so I guess want Rachel to win and I would not mind Porsche winning.This season is so predictable now. You know what production is going to do before they do it. It really is embarrassing they think we can not figure it out.Really Rachel shuold have left twice and Brendan was voted out and came back.
I just want to say that I appreciate the tips when it comes to applying for BB Canada. I will follow these suggestions and tips as it is very important to me to become a houseguest and I think I could rock it.
