Big Brother Canada Casting and Launch Details
June 28, 2012 |We’re oh so close to Big Brother 14 premiering that we just latch on to any good Big Brother 2012 gossip. And this one benefits our friends north of the border! As we previously reported Big Brother Canada will be making it’s english language debut in Canada in 2012/2013. We now have a few more details on the show including casting details. We’ve also got some info on where you can watch Big Brother: After Dark this year. Read on!
Beginning Thursday, July 12 faithful Canadian viewers will be able to catch all the latest action from the Big Brother (US) house 7 days a week on Shaw’s speciality channel Slice. Unfortunately, Big Brother: After Dark will air about 2 hours behind Showtime 2 – it will start at 2 am and run till 5 am. It’s unclear if it’ll be the pre-recorded version from Showtime or if it’ll actually be live. Will let you know if we find out.
And now for Big Brother Canada details! According to Shaw Media’s Advertising site casting for Big Brother Canada is expected to start this July (that’s next month!) and last until January of 2013. That gives you 7 months to perfect the perfect casting tape and make sure you make it into the Big Brother house!

- On Air Promotion for Casting – July 12
- Online Casting Submissions – August 10
- Cross country starts tour September 24
- House construction will start in September in Toronto and will contain and indoor/outdoor set
- Show will begin Feb 18 for 10 weeks with 3 one hour episodes per week
- Shows will include 2 pre-taped episodes and 1 live eviction episode
What is a little bit troubling in this advertising release is that they are open to sponsorship opportunities from companies who want to sponsor the series. That includes “Casting Call Partnership, Challenge Integration, Grand Prize provider, Branded rooms and more.” Branded rooms? Is it possible instead of the Have/Have Not Room we’ll have the Swiss Chalet presents the Have/Have Not Room?

Oh man! I’m so pumped for this! I’ve waited 12 long years for this, I’ve watched every episode of every season and cannot f***ing wait to get on the Canadian version!
I have to admit though, the whole thing makes my stomach do somersaults with anticipation. It feels so surreal to know I’ll finally be able to apply to be on Big Brother, to play the game, to experience what it’s like to be in that house, the feeling of being immersed in the BB world…

I thought i saw a min age of 25 on the video. might have been wrong but makes sense for insurance reasons.

I haven’t been able to find any rules or application parameters but I think more will be revealed when the casting teaser is played on the 12th.
Info is still a bit sketchy, but I’m guessing there will be more soon, so keep a lookout! And yes, the casting teaser I hope will give some good stuff.

I have wanted to happen for SO long! And I am ready!
I would be the perfect house guest for this and one hell of a competitor. I’m the Denato duo, Brenchel, Will Boogie and Janelle all rolled into one. I can be charming but deceitful all at once. And of course my looks come to my advantage. I’m wild, unpredictable, and intimidating and would love a chance to turn this house upside down.
My audition tape will be well thought out, creative, and spontaneous. I want to show our country I can play this game and will show them a little about me and why I will make it into the Big Brother Canada house. Good luck everyone! May the best Canadian be chosen!

Well I guess it’s finally time Big Brother finds the ultimate supervillain. Here I am Just waiting to get in the game to stab backs and break hearts. I’ve been preparing for this since I was 14. Should be a piece of cake.
And finally BB has come to canada….. big brother has been my favorite reality show and now i got a chance to show u guys why i should be on bb. Also learned alot from all the seasons and i think i can notonly make the show entertaining but win yhe whole competition. I am so pumped for this….I have watched every season of Big Brother and have my wife and kids addicted as well. They are so addicted that we are about to go on holidays and they said “how can we go, we will miss big brother”….so i explained that we will record the episodes we will miss and watch when we get back—-or maybe watch them in the hotel while on holidays…cant wait for the casting

I am sooooo going to try and get in. I have been wanting the chance to prove that Canadians are the tops for years. I would love love love to see a Canadian on Survivor and given the chance would defiantely go on either of these shows.
