Big Brother 14: Danielle Murphree Houseguest Profile

CBS Big Brother 14 cast member Danielle Murphree, a 23-year-old nurse, just has one of those caring, sweet faces that make you want to trust her and tell her all your problems. That’s a good thing for a nurse, but not necessarily a good thing for a Big Brother 14 houseguest.

Danielle’s strategy is to play nice-nice and try to keep under the radar somewhat for the first half of the season, then “start coming out and winning” in week 9 or 10, according to her interview with our friends at BigBrotherNetwork.com below. However, everyone who knows anything about Big Brother history knows that those nice, sweet, kind, non-threatening ‘Jordan‘ kind of girls are dangerous and maybe should be eliminated as soon as possible…

Danielle Murphree, born in Grant, Alabama (population 900), is a graduate of Kate Duncan High Scool, class of 2007. She currently works at Glen Haven Health and Rehabilitation in Northport. She is also a college student, formerly at Shelton State Community College, and now at the University of Alabama on track to graduate in December with a bachelor of science in health services — check out her personal site and resume here.

Oh, and of course, she’s a sororiety girl, pledging to Alpha Delta Pi at the UV. Danielle has a particular interest in labor and delivery care, emergency department care, and postpartum care. (You can see a photo of Danielle being very student-ish in this pic for TuscaloosaNews.com on digital tablet textbooks.)

Pretty Danielle speaks Spanish, according to her LinkedIn profile, and she also likes to travel to exotic places such as Hong Kong, which she visited in 2006, according to her profile on Wayn.com. She may also have a really cute puppy, if the photo on her Google+ profile is any indication.

While on the surface, Big Brother 14 cast member Danielle Murphree doesn’t really seem the type to want to be thrown into the insanity of something like Big Brother, we did find that she does have a little taste for the life of fame lurking in there. That would be rather obvious by the photos and profile she has posted at ExploreTalent.com.

Height: 5 feet, 7 inches
Weight: 124 pounds
Body type: Athletic
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Hair: Dark brown
Dress: 4

If you just want to be a kind, giving nurse and live that life fully, you don’t go around posting sexy duck face photos on sites like Explore Talent, gush about modeling for the “Harley Davidson Heart of Dixie calendar for the 2012 year” and proclaim you are “willing to model/act for almost any event.”

Nor do you strut around in a bikini with what appears to be breast implants for the 2012 Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant… (although someone posting with the same last name disputes Miss Murphree participated in this… we found a photo under the label of “Danielle Murphree, 23 Nurse” at this site so if it is not her, it is an honest mistake).

Sometimes I wonder if CBS Big Brother really pays attention to their casting calls, or they just troll through ModelMayhem.com, ExploreTalent.com and other such sites for whatever flavor they are looking for. Couldn’t just cast a pretty nurse could they? No, they had to cast a ‘nurse’ who wants to be a model/actress/swimsuit pageant contest winner. Or maybe they just couldn’t get a normal nurse who doesn’t have implants and a penchant for showing off her near-naked body to apply. (And most Big Brother fans who love ‘pool time’ on the Big Brother live feeds are probably happy about that…)

Danielle has also apparently done a little elbow-rubbing on the red carpet with local luminaries like Miss Alabama USA 2011 Madeline Mitchel, pageant coach extraordinaire Dohn Dye, and staffers from Bravo’s Project Runway and Shear Genius at a charity event.

Boosting her image as a ‘good’ girl, Danielle seems to be quite fond of classy charity events, seen also in photos from another one here.

A simple, sweet and caring nurse who just happened to end up on Big Brother 14? No, that does not appear to be Danielle. This lady would probably happily give up the bedpans for the chance to be a star. At least, however, she knows that it’s better to have a real career to fall back on, other than being a cashier at Victoria’s Secret — which was apparently her former job before taking up a nursing career.

Our Prediction: Danielle seems extremely likable, if she isn’t hiding a foul mouth and nasty streak underneath that pretty, perky exterior. We think she could make it quite far in the game by playing strong but not too strong, staying on everyone’s good side and being a ‘Jordan’ type player — but without being quite so much of a floater. If she tries to float and fails totally at competitions, she’s probably going to end up being a victim for the block mid-season. Still, a strong bet on this one for the jury house, and she could even be a winner if the others don’t see her as a threat quickly enough to get her out before the final two.

Danielle Murphree CBS Big Brother Bio:

Name: Danielle Murphree
Age: 23
Hometown: Grant, Ala. (living in Tuscaloosa, Ala.)
Occupation: Nurse
Three adjectives that describe you:
Loving, outgoing and passionate.
Favorite Activities: I love to dance. I could do that all day, everyday. I love photography, scrapbooking, working out and swimming. Anything that keeps me active.
Most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Being cut off from the outside world and not being able to listen to music or take pictures.
Strategy for winning “Big Brother:” To be considered someone that isn’t a threat and someone that doesn’t seem very smart. The people that are a threat are usually eliminated first.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most or least: I love Jordan and I can’t stand Rachel. Rachel is beyond annoying and fake with her whining and backstabbing. Jordan seemed honest, down to earth and fun.
What are you afraid of: I am terrified of snakes, dying young, heights and never finding my true love.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: Finally graduating Nursing school and passing my NCLEX on the first try.
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… love everything as if you were about to lose it.
What would you take into the house and why: My camera because I love taking pictures; my iPad so I can play games and listen to my music; and my cell phone because I’m a chatterbug and love talking to people.
What would you do if “Big Brother” made you famous: Be a happy camper. I guess I would deal with the new challenges that I faced with fame, but I wouldn’t hate it. I wouldn’t mind being famous.
