We learned this week that Big Brother 10 boasts the oldest cast ever (a 75-year-old great grandpa and a 53-year-old beauty salon owner!). But what is really in store for this crack-brained group of players? Well, for one thing, BB Executive Producer Allison Grodner says the show (still hosted by Julie Chen, pictured) is celebrating the franchise’s 10th anniversary by going old school with the format (translation: no more secret couples).
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Because it’s the 10th season, do you feel like you had to do something bigger and better?
ALLISON GRODNER: We’re going back to the original format: putting a cast of strangers in the house who wouldn’t normally cross each other’s paths. This summer you’re going to find a 22-year-old body builder and a 75-year-old great grandpa in the house, and then everything else in between. We’ve had diversity of age in past, but this is clearly the biggest gap, and the grandpa is the oldest contestant we’ve ever had. It’ll be fascinating to watch the generational thing in the house.

BIG BROTHER IS KICKIN’ IT OLD SCHOOL WITH SEASON 10
ALL THE ACTION BEGINS THIS SUNDAY, JULY 13 @ 8pm ET/PT(July 9, 2008 – TORONTO) – In celebration of its 10th season, BIG BROTHER is kickin’ it old school as the show returns to the original format that propelled its popularity. With returning Host, Julie Chen, 13 new houseguests ranging in ages from 22-75 years compete for the coveted half a million dollar prize.
The all new season begins this Sunday, July 13 – 8pm ET/PT.
Airing three times weekly, fans can tune into BIG BROTHER Wednesdays & Sundays - 8pm ET/PT and Tuesdays - 9pm ET/PT.
Featuring a back-to-basics approach with no casting twists, the houseguests will all be living amongst complete strangers. The diverse group includes a Rodeo Competitor, Catholic School Teacher, and a Professional Body Builder.

This isn’t much different then the one we posted earlier but it has a few more clips of Julie & Alison talking and is the one that will be shown on Entertainment Tonight … tonight.
Also someone pointed out an interesting tidbit. In the video we posted earlier (ET Preview) there are 14 houseguest photos on the “Memory Wall”. Does that mean there are actually 14 people moving in? Who’s the 14th person? I mean, who really casts a show with an odd number!
