Big Brother 16 continues tonight on CBS! Last Thursday, Paola was the second Houseguest of the summer to be evicted from the Big Brother house. Shortly thereafter, Nicole and Derrick became the two Heads of Household for Week Three.
Tonight, CBS will air whom Nicole and Derrick chose to nominate for eviction. As a reminder, there are two Heads of Household who each nominate two Houseguests for eviction. Upon being nominated, all four nominees compete in an all new Battle of the Block competition. The nominees compete as duos, and the winning duo exits the block and dethrones their nominating HoH in the process.
Tonight, we learn whom is nominated and who wins the Battle of the Block!
Derrick masterfully plays his varying relationships within the house by seeming to alleviate the concerns of both Devin and Caleb.
After the Bomb Squad imploded, Christine immediately went to Nicole to tell her all about the Bomb Squad alliance in order to maintain her relationship. Nicole is upset that she wasn’t included, but decides it best to keep her friendship and working relationship with Christine to further her game.
Derrick and Nicole collaborated on whom to nominate for eviction. They decide to nominate the Houseguests that would put the least amount of blood on their hands. Nicole wants to nominate Amber as she nominated her last week. They then decide on Caleb so that he would throw the Battle of the Block to leave Derrick as the sole Head of Household. Derrick believes Jocasta to be a solid choice for his nominations.
Derrick knows that Caleb will want to be nominated on the other side of Amber so that he can save her. He firmly believes that Amber will run into his arms as soon as he bravely saves her from the claws of the vicious block.
Nicole nicely asks Donny to place him on the block beside Amber to get the least amount of blood on her hands. Donny tries to talk her out of it, but acquiesces if that’s what Nicole believes is best for her game.
Nicole picked the egg with the number one, so she picked her nominations first. She nominated Amber and Donny for eviction based on information that she spread information she didn’t want spread. Derrick nominated Jocasta and Caleb for eviction.
Derrick informed the house that Caleb volunteered to go on the block, so he honored his request. Devin immediately knows that their plan is to back door him with his comment, “Sometimes the only door is the back door.”
Team America, comprised of Donny, Frankie, and Derrick, received their first instructions from America. They are to convince three Houseguests that one among them is related to a former Houseguest. They decide to spread the rumor that Zach is related to Amanda Zuckerman from Big Brother 15.
Nicole becomes upset that she nominated Donny because she may have nominated him on false pretenses. Donny, as always, is gracious and sweet and doesn’t blame her in the slightest. She hopes that Donny will go out and win the Battle of the Block.
The Battle of the Block is Hogwarts-themed and involved building a puzzle on the castle wall. Caleb purposefully wanted to throw the competition in order to save Amber, which Jocasta knew. Caleb does his best to go as slow as possible.
As a result, Donny and Amber won the Battle of the Block. This win removes them from the block and dethrones Nicole as Head of Household. Derrick remains Head of Household and Caleb and Jocasta remain on the block.
Derrick’s plan to back door Devin remains in place. Stay with us throughout the week as we discover who wins the Power of Veto and whether it is used. Follow along on Twitter @BigBroAccess and this site as we bring you the latest on Big Brother 16!
