The Big Brother Power of Veto Competition took place on Saturday, when we hope all our readers were out enjoying their Labor Day weekend with friends and family. This competition was of paramount importance to newly returned Big Brother 16 cast member Nicole. If she did not win it, she was in extreme danger of going up on the block and being evicted.
Well, turns out that things didn’t go so well for Nicole. She flopped in the Power of Veto Competition, which involved something about disarming bombs, and the win went to Christine. Cody apparently was the first one out and was punished by having to wear a dinosaur costume.
Although the obvious target for The Detonators (+ Caleb) was Nicole, there was some talk behind closed doors about the idea of backdooring Frankie. He was the only one who did not play in the Power of Veto Competition, so it really would have been a technical backdoor, which we always love.
Unfortunately, the guys ultimately decided (with a lot of pushing from Derrick), to stick with the plan to get out Nicole this week. Christine used the Power of Veto to take herself off the block, and Head of Household Caleb put up Victoria as the pawn replacement nomination.
So as it stands, it looks like a rather tame couple of days coming before the live eviction on Thursday with Nicole almost virtually guaranteed to be evicted. Then we’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the second round of Double Eviction night! Either Derrick will be losing his BFF Victoria, or the guys are going to have to turn on one of their own.
