Wow, she was all over the map. By far my favorite part of her interview was when she realized she was sitting next to Jeff and freaked out. I think she might be a bit of a hot mess, and a lot for the other houseguests to handle. She will end up out early. If she can keep her personality in check, and decide how she wants to play the game more decisively, maybe she has a shot. However, I’m feeling like she is one of those big personalites that we see go out in the first month of the game.
Cody Nickson
Age: 32
Hometown: Lake Mills, IA
Current City: Piano, TX
Occupation: Constructions sales rep
Could he be any less excited to be there? You would have thought he was at a dentist’s appointment instead of the Big Brother house. He was very honest though and sort of had a dry wit about him that was interesting. Cody wants to work with a strong female, perhaps Christmas? He is seemingly religious and will possibly play the integrity card. I’m not sure he’ll be super interesting or good at the game, but he’s there and could be worse. I did sort of enjoy his apathy as a change of pace.
Jessica Graf
Age: 26

Current City: Los Angeles, CA
Occupation: VIP concierge
Similar to Alex, Jessica was hard to gauge because she was all over the place in terms of what she wants to do. I hope she commits to playing the game hard, but it’s hard to say how people will play until they get in there. I could see other girls not really getting along with her, but perhaps not. Like Jeff said, she could easily end up in a showmance, but I hope she remembers that her loyalty to her mom is above these strangers.
Megan Lowder
Age: 28

Occupation: Dog Walker
Dog-walker and Big Brother fan Megan seems promising, but that laugh is pretty bad. Perhaps she was nervous. But it’s at least nice to see that she’s there to play and take in the experience as much as possible. I’m not sure how she’ll fit in socially, and I think that that might be her biggest struggle. I like that she has no qualms about playing to win, regardless of if she’s hated in the process.
Elena Davies
Age: 26
Hometown: Fort Worth, TX
Current City: Dallas, TX
Occupation: Radio Personality
Spunky radio personality Elena sort of alluded me. I think she potentially could be a good player since she seems willing to do whatever it takes, and has a good head on her shoulders, but there could be some hang ups there. I’m going to be optimistic and say I like her chances. If she can get in with the right people, she can go far. However, I am not extremely confident that she can go to distance.
Mark Jansen
Age: 26
Hometown: Grand Island, NY
Current City: Grand Island, NY
Occupation: Personal trainer
Despite being branded the “jock” type, there seems to be more than meets the eye with Mark, who is willing to do what it takes to win. He seems personable and likable. His biggest struggle will be to not be labeled as a physical threat. It’s hard to say this early, but like others it will depends where he fits in socially, and whether or not he gets involved in a showmance.
Jason Dent aka ‘WhistleNut’
Age: 37
Hometown: Humeston, IA
Current City: Humeston, IA
Occupation: Rodeo clown
Admittedly a recruit, Jason seems kind of lost and not sure of what he gotten himself into. During his interview, he wasn’t even aware that he had officially made the Big Brother 19 cast. He keeps it simple and hasn’t given the game to much thought. He’s in for a rude awakening. It’ll be interesting to see how he rolls with the punches as the game progresses and more twist arise. At least he has a good personality and sense of humor, which is somewhere to start.
Christmas Abbott
Age: 33
Hometown: Lynchburg, VA
Current City: Raleigh, NC
Occupation: Fitness superstar
Self-professed badass Christmas was one of my favorites. She is focused and willing to do whatever it takes to win the game. She was charming and quick-witted. I think her only major hurdle (much like Mark) is her being physically intimidating. Because she’s very short maybe it won’t come across quite as much, but she could be a valuable alliance partner for a number of them. I really like her chances. If she can stay beneath the radar in the early parts of the game, she’ll go far.
That’s all for now folks. We’ve got a unique bunch this year, and it’ll be interesting to see how it all unfolds. There are quite a few standouts. I think we’ve got a fairly well-rounded cast.
