For months, Big Brother fans have waited for confirmation about the official premiere date of Big Brother 20. We have all speculated about the date and when we would see our favorite summer show return. CBS kept us in the dark for months, but the wait is finally over.
Host Julie Chen teased yesterday that she was binge watching Big Brother. This got the Twitterverse up in a frenzy. Today, she eased some of the Big Brother fans worry by announcing the date on various social media channels.
She posted a video that filmed several items that have become associated with Big Brother and summer. The cameraperson slowly panned to reveal the B,b,2,0,6,27,18. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to put the puzzle together. She’s saying that Big Brother 20 starts June 27, 2018–one day before it premiered last year.

We also knew it would probably start this date because there was an official press release about buying VIP tickets to a few tapings in July. All the clues pointed to this date, but it’s nice to get an official confirmation.
I’m convinced they don’t legit have their cast in place and won’t til the very last minute. Without all the group photo shoots, promos each cast member does, etc. it holds up production and post prod. No secrecy, just not ready. My two cents anyway…

Fans were even beginning to wonder if Big Brother 20 would get pushed to late summer in favor of Celebrity Big Brother 2 taking over the June slot.
Now that we know the date of Big Brother 20, we can officially start to plan our summer and sleep around it. Get ready Big Brother fans, Big Brother 20 should be a special one.
