The Celebrity Big Brother premier is finally here. 12 new celebrities will begin their journey for the coveted Celebrity Big Brother title and the quarter of a million dollar prize. The cast of celebs for this year’s house is a wide variety of personalities that will surely bring excitement and drama to the Big Brother house like never before.
Joining the cast of Celebrity Big Brother for the second season will be Anthony Scaramucci, Dina Lohan, Joey Lawrence, Jonathan Bennett, Kandi Burruss, Kato Kaelin, Lolo Jones, Natalie Eva Marie, Ricky Williams, Ryan Lochte, Tamar Braxton, and Tom Green. The cast includes Olympic athletes, high profile comedians, former government officials, NFL stars, to world class momagers. Buckle up Big Brother fans and enjoy the ride.
The first group of celebrities to enter the Big Brother house are Ryan Lochte, Tamar Braxton, Lolo Jones, Tom Green, Natalie Eva Marie, and Kato Kaelin.
Next to come into the house is Joey Lawrence, Dina Lohan, Jonathan Bennett, Kandi Burruss, Ricky Williams, and Anthony Scaramucci.
Once all 12 cast members enter the CBB house, the stars do a “welcome” toast to one another for a great Big Brother season. Of course, Kato is already getting ribbed about O.J. Simpson walking through the door any minute…NOT! Ryan is as cocky as ever, and Lolo is still a virgin. Lots of good stuff to gossip about this season amongst the celebrities.
Julie Chen Moonves starts things off by telling the celebs to “expect the unexpected”…immediately. Julie explains that 2 of the houseguests will become the first Celebrity Power Pair in the house, while 2 houseguests will not be included in the competition.
The first Head of Household competition is underway and will played in pairs. Only 5 pairs will be competing meaning that one couple will be eligible to compete for the first HOH honors. By random draw, Ryan got to choose first and picked Jonathan as his partner. Tamar chose Kandi, Ricky chose Joey, Tom chose Lolo, and Anthony chose Dina. Kato and Natalie were not chosen and are automatically safe from eviction the first week in the Big Brother house.
Seated on large swings, the houseguests must swing with all their might to reach the flowing champagne behind them and fill their glass. Once that partner has their champagne glass full, they must swing to their partner and transfer the champagne to their glass. Once the partner has bubbly in their glass, they must pour the champagne in large container. Once the liquid in the large champagne glass is high enough to reach the top and a “bubble” falls out, that couple wins the first competition.
Ryan and Jonathan won the competition. One of the two power pair will be crowned the first HOH according to Julie while the other partner is in for a game changing surprise. Exactly which one will be named HOH is still to be determined.
Julie tells the power pair that they must battle against each other for HOH, and the other will become the first nominee to the block for eviction. Join us tomorrow night 8 PM/ 7 PM CST for the Lochte/Bennett showdown. Tune in Wednesday night for the first Power of Veto competition, and the first live eviction takes place this Friday evening.
