Big Brother 16 Spoilers: Week 3 Alliance Report – 7/16/14

The Big Brother 2014 cast has been inside the BB16 house for 27 days and they’ve been busy creating a messy, crisscrossing set of alliances. Just last night, we added yet another major alliance and solidified a Final 2 deal between Derrick and Cody with a new name.

WARNING: The following Big Brother spoilers information has not yet aired on  on CBS. Proceed at your own risk.

In previous seasons, the Big Brother cast tended to divide into recognizable and disparate sides. This season, however, the Houseguests just form alliances on alliances. The following alliance chart is our best attempt at reconciling all deals, side-deals, and friendships within the house. As of right now, mid-day on Wednesday. Who knows what may happen in the next five minutes.

Early on in the game, the Bomb Squad ruled the house. The massive eight-member alliance included Devin, Derrick, Caleb, Amber, Christine, Frankie, Zach, and Cody. Last week, however, it imploded. Zach spoke too loudly about wanting Devin out of the house, causing Devin to nominate him to replace Brittany on the block. The current alliances include the remnants of the Bomb Squad plus a few outlying alliances.

The Detonators: After Devin continued his streak of crazy, everyone wanted him out next. Caleb distanced himself by annoying everyone by only talking about his stalker-like obsession with Amber while Amber herself became an outsider. Those remaining included Frankie, Zach, Christine, Derrick, and Cody. They named themselves the Detonators in lieu of their previous allegiance to the Bomb Squad.

Zankie: The Internet has quickly fallen in love with Zankie: the adorable friendship and borderline showmance of Zach and Frankie. They made a final two deal early on and each sought out other Houseguests they could each control. While their friendship and working relationship faltered after Zach’s explosion during the week two’s Power of Veto Ceremony, they made up and resumed their alliance.

Los Tres Amigos: Since the very first few days in the house, Derrick, Zach, and Cody have bonded and decided to work together. They formalized their sub-alliance with an official name. This is the main sub-alliance he brings under Zankie’s control.

The Hitmen: Derrick and Cody, however, are only keeping Zach around because he’s a loyal vote in their pocket. Their true allegiance is to each other.

Team America: One of the main new twists of Big Brother 16 is Team America. For the first few weeks, America voted on with whom they most wanted to align. While Joey was its first member, she was summarily evicted. Frankie, Donny, and Derrick eventually formed the full three-person alliance. America votes on tasks for them to complete for $5,000 each, the first of which they have already completed. Derrick has told the Live Feeders his main allegiances are to Team America and the Hitmen.

Nicotine and Haycole: Nicole and Christine immediately bonded in the house. While Nicole was not involved in the Bomb Squad, Christine came clean to Nicole about its existence and her “reluctant” participation in it to maintain her trust. Hayden and Nicole have also formed an adorably awkward friendship and almost showmance. The three of them additionally formed an unofficial and unnamed working relationship.

Dertoria: This working relationship of Derrick and Victoria is really a facade created by Derrick to keep Victoria in his back pocket. The jig will likely be up next week as Victoria will most likely be nominated next week for eviction.

Jaconny: This pairing of Donny and Jocasta is not an official alliance or even working relationship. However, Donny fought for the most recent Power of Veto to save Jocasta from the block. It is likely they will keep each other safe in whichever manner possible.

Camber: This pairing of Amber and Caleb really only exists in Caleb’s delusional mind. He incessantly talks about her and hoped to look like a “stud” when he volunteered himself as tribute to throw the Battle of the Block and save Amber from the block. Amber, however, isn’t about it. She wants to play her own game but doesn’t really have one. The girls of the house have become aggravated with her as she reportedly uses their make-up and comes off as “fake.”

Ridin’ Solo: Brittany really has no working relationships with anyone in the house. While she and Derrick spoke for a while yesterday (July 15) in the Head of Household room, no real alliance formed. Even if it had, it would be similar to Dertoria.

#DevinHasADaughter: You may have been wondering why Devin is not on this chart. That’s because he’s alienated himself so much that he’s nowhere near able to save himself by Thursday’s eviction. While Nicotine have discussed voting to evict Caleb to create confusion in the house, there is no way he won’t meet Julie Thursday night.
