Big Brother 2014 Cast: Joey Van Pelt Rages With Alter-Ego ‘Alex’

Yesterday on the Live Feeds, Big Brother 16 cast member Joey Van Pelt acted out in one of the weirdest ways we’ve ever seen on the show. For some bizarre reason, Joey decided the best way to win friends and influence people was to dress up as her male alter-ego ‘Alex’ and go rampaging around the house.

The whole thing reminded us very uncomfortably of Big Brother cast member Amanda Zuckerman from last season when she dressed up as ‘Granny’ and terrorized the house. That bit of crazy behavior didn’t do Amanda any favors in the house, and Joey’s acting out didn’t gain her any positive reactions either.

WARNING: This post contains Big Brother 16 spoilers from the Live Feeds that have not yet aired on the CBS show. You have been warned!

For those who don’t already know, Joey ended up with the short end of the stick at the Power of Veto Ceremony earlier this week. After Donny, who won the PoV, took himself off the block, Joey was put up as the replacement nominee by Head of Household Caleb. She has been going nuts ever since trying to drum up votes to somehow save herself from eviction.

Joey is well aware that the house is pretty much against her and she’s most likely headed out the door on Thursday. Which is the only explanation we have for her totally weird decision yesterday to pull out her alter-ego ‘Alex’ and his giant balls. Literally. Joey stuffed her shorts to give ‘Alex’ huge lumps that ‘he’ then proceeded to shove in Nicole’s face at one point during ‘his’ campaign through the house.

This all started up about 4PM BBT on the Big Brother Live Feeds, if you want to use the flashback feature and watch it all to yourself. Joey puts on an over-sized guy’s shirt and toboggan hat, scruffs up her face with fake beard fuzz, and padded her shorts. Then she starts strutting about as ‘Alex’ with his “big balls” and doing “guy stuff” like trying to lift weights and shoving her crotch in Nicole’s face.

Joey stomps through the house yelling at various Houseguests about how they need to vote for her and trying to act like a loud and obnoxious guy. Instead of coming across as funny, however, she actually kind of scares the rest of the Big Brother 16 cast. We find it all pretty freaky ourselves.

At one point after being yelled at by ‘Alex’ in the Hive room, Caleb sums it up nicely by saying, “If that doesn’t go home, I don’t know what will.”
