We were on the lookout for the Big Brother spoilers on the first eviction nominations when the Live Feeds and Big Brother After Dark premiered on Thursday night. We had to wait for a bit, but we eventually got a glimpse of the Memory Wall in the kitchen and quickly discovered there were several keys missing.
Usually, of course, if your key is missing from the Memory Wall at this point in the game, it means you have been nominated for eviction by the current Head of Household. The confusing thing this season is that there are two Heads of Household and four eviction nominees each week.
However, when we spotted the Memory Wall keys missing, there were only two not in their spots, not four. Only the keys for Paola and Donny were missing. That’s only two nominations.
So what did this mean? Had only half of the nominations been made so far? Did the ‘Battle of the Block’ competition already happen and Donny and Paola were the two losing eviction nominees that had to stay on the block? As the Live Feeds progressed throughout the night, that seems to be what took place.
From some of the conversations we overheard on the Live Feeds, it appeared that the Battle of the Block had already happened and Caleb was the winning Head of Household. Well, to be more clear, here is what happened:
- Frankie nominated Victoria and Brittany for eviction.
- Caleb nominated Donny and Paola for eviction.
- Victoria and Brittany won the Battle of the Block.
- By winning, Victoria and Brittany dethroned the HoH who nominated them.
- Thus, Caleb wins the Battle of the Block and his nominees, Donny and Paola, stay on the block.
This leaves Donny and Paola as the current nominees for eviction, at least until after the Power of Veto Competition.
