After waiting for many months, tonight the premier episode of Big Brother 26 is finally here. We will be treated to back-to-back premier nights of Big Brother beginning tonight, Wednesday, July 17. The 16 new houseguests will be introduced as they enter the house for the 26th season of our favorite guilty pleasure.
Host, Julie Chen Moonves, has returned to guide us through all the drama this season. The houseguests will be battling for their chance to win $750,000 and title of Big Brother 26 season winner. The season will be televised Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 9 PM EST until the finale on October 13th, 2024. Let’s meet this seaons’s houseguests.
Big Brother 26 Meet the Houseguests
The first four houseguests entered the Big Brother 26 house. Those houseguests were Angela Murray, Tucker Des Lauriers, Kimo Apaca, and Chelsie Baham. The next four houseuguests to enter the BB26 house were Cam Sullivan-Brown, Makensy Manbeck, Rubina Bernie, and Joseph Rodriguez.
Julie told the first 8 houseguests to enter the Big Brother 26 house, and they held the power to bring another houseguest into the game. They would be voting to decide if Ainsley will be entering the house. This will be a private vote amongst the houseguests. Ainsley told them how they should vote to bring her in the house.
After the vote, only four houseguests decided to keep Ainsley in the Big Brother 26 house. That was not enough. She needed 5 votes to stay. The houseguests were informed that Ainsley was just a trick to learn more about their behavior, and she is really an AI assistant that will be used throughout the Big Brother 26 season.
The houseguests that voted to bring Ainsley into the Big Brother 26 house as the 17th member, will compete to receive a secret power, giving their Big Brother 26 a significant upgrade. On the other hand, those that voted to keep Ainsley from entering the house could have their game significantly downgraded. They will compete and the loser will have that specific disadvantage.
The houseguests that voted to keep Ainsley in the Big Brother 26 were Angela, Jospeh, Rubina, and Mackensy. Those that wanted Ainsley to go on her own way were Tucker, Kimo, Cam, and Chelsie.
The upgrade competition is called Upgrade Calibration. The participants will spin in a chair and try to remember the sequence of colors flashed in front of them. The houseguest that recalls all of the colors correctly and in the fastest time wins this competition.
The downgrade competition is called Fear Face. The houseguests must stick their head in the four fear boxes and find the scrambled word. the boxes are filled with snakes, bug, and the like. The player with the fewest correctly labeled boxes in the slowest time will have their game severly downgraded.
Mackensy won the upgrade compeition, and Chelsie lost the downgrade competition. The reveal of downgrade and upgrade of the houseguests games will be revealed tomorrow tonight, Thursday at 9 PM.
