While we anxiously await any Big Brother 16 spoilers we can get, we’re also gearing up for Big Brother Canada season 2, which should hopefully debut sometime in February. The first installment of BBCA was a blast, so we’ve been scouring for any Big Brother Canada spoilers we can get about the second season. Thankfully, it seems like some of the execs on the show don’t mind sharing a few teases!
Big Brother Canada executive John Brunton, who also worked on The Amazing Race Canada, was kind enough to sneak in a few hints about the upcoming season in an interview with spoilers site CarterMatt.com at the Toronto auditions. In the interview, Brunton said an “incredible group of people” were auditioning for the second season of BBCA but it will be hard to outdo last year’s “phenomenal cast.”
Brunton also crowed a bit about how multicultural and liberal Canada is and how they can “actually put people on our show that they may not consider putting on the US show.” We’re interested in seeing if he was talking about any wild characters in particular for the Big Brother Canada season 2 cast.
One of the big twists in the works for BBCA 2, John Brunton said, is a “MAJOR theme that we are working on this year” that has never been seen on a Big Brother show in the United States or Canada. “It’s a major, major thing that we’re pulling off. We’re going to do something at the beginning that again, nobody’s seen on any Big Brother anywhere.”
This huge twist, he said, will involve Canadians across the country and will shock the HouseGuests. “It’s going to be a freakin’ barnburner,” Brunton exclaimed in his interview with CarterMatt.com. “People are going to be on the edge of their seats.” We can’t wait to see what that is all about!
