Omarosa Manigault Newman may be one of the most anticipated, and automatically despised, Celebrity Big Brother houseguests. Many may remember Omarosa from her time on season 1 of The Apprentice. Omarosa’s villainous behavior quickly made her one of the most talked about characters on the show.
Non-reality show fans may associate Omarosa with being part of Donald Trump’s administration, and then infamously getting fired from it only a year later. Some Big Brother fans are going in with preconceived notions about Omarosa, and others are giving her a blank slate. And there are a very select few who have no clue who she actually is. 1. She Studied Journalism
Big Brother fans may be surprised to learn that Omarosa actually studied journalism. She got her B.A in Radio/TV Broadcast Journalism at Central State University in Ohio. She then got a M.A in Mass Communication Studies at Howard University. She also worked on a PhD in Communication Studies at Howard.
2. She’s a Repeat Offender
Omarosa is one of the reasons that The Apprentice became such a hit during its first season: Everyone was talking about her. She then tried to repeat the magic of her first run by appearing two additional times. Trump asked Omarosa back for Celebrity Apprentice and All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.
She didn’t win during any of her three appearances, but it helped bond her with Trump. She is one of four Celebrity Big Brother houseguests who have appeared on Celebrity Apprentice.
3. She Joins the Big Brother Birthday Club
Omarosa celebrated her birthday yesterday inside the Big Brother house. She joins the club of players who celebrated their birthday in the Big Brother house. Omarosa’s birthday is February 5. Let’s hope she had a birthday to remember in the house (#TeamFunFeeds)
4. She Worked in Another Presidential Office Before Trump
Omarosa worked in former Vice President Al Gore’s office. At 23, Omarosa had the job of answering Gore’s invitations. She claims that she left the position once she got married. Others claim that she wasn’t very good at her job. So Onarosa worked for Clinton’s team before the Trump one.
5. She Relates to a Transformer
Once Omarosa was quoted as saying:
The cartoon character that I most relate to is Optimus Prime from the The Transformers. Optimus Prime is the leader of the Transformers and works as a powerful force of goodness, courage and wisdom in the battle against the evil Decepticons. He first tries to find peaceful solutions to conflicts, but when battle lines are drawn, he becomes a fierce warrior capable of overpowering vast enemy forces to achieve his goals.
Omarosa’s killer instincts, journalism experience, not-afraid to be the villain attitude, and readiness for battle may make her a great Big Brother player.
