Big Brother 12 winner Hayden Moss will have the chance to win yet another CBS reality TV show as a player on the upcoming season of Survivor: Blood vs. Water. Continuing their long tradition of re-using reality TV competitors, CBS has cast Hayden Moss and girlfriend Kat Edorsson as a team on Survivor 27.
CBS has a long track record of using cast members from one reality TV show on another show remember Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas on Big Brother and The Amazing Race? The network also previously featured Willie Hantz, a relative of of Survivor’s Russell and Brandon Hantz, on Big Brother 14. This will be the first time, however, that an actual Big Brother cast member has also been a Survivor cast member.
Survivor 27 will feature returning veteran players and their family members competing against each other. Let’s hope Mr. Moss and his girlfriend can survive all the drama. We guess this is going about as stressful as trying to get to the final two in a Big Brother showmance! If you don’t know already, Hayden Moss’ girlfriend, Kat Edorsson, is also a CBS reality TV repeater. She was a competitor on Survivor: One World and the 10th person to be voted out during that season.
In a video interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moss said he was almost cast on Survivor before he made it on to Big Brother in 2010. Survivor host Jeff Probst says Moss made it all the way to the Survivor casting finals. He isn’t quite sure why Hayden didn’t end up being cast, perhaps because “we had somebody like him” already lined up.
Survivor: Blood vs. Water premieres on CBS with a special 90-minute episode on Sept. 18 at 8PM ET. Because we have a former Big Brother winner competing, we’ll be keeping you up to date on all the big news regarding his part in the competition right here at BigBrotherAccess.com all season long!
