Who wins the Power of Veto on Big Brother 18 today is hugely important to the majority alliance’s plan to hopefully backdoor their intended eviction target this week. While so far the plan is still going well, everything hinges on whichever houseguest ends up holding that precious Power of Veto — and what they do with it once they have it in hand.

The Eight Pack alliance and their side allies are currently working to get out Victor in a backdoor eviction this week. Head of Household Paulie wants Victor gone, but he decided not to put him up as an initial nominee in hopes he would not end up playing in the Power of Veto Competition. However, Victor DID end up winning the Roadkill challenge, which gave him the power to nominate the third person on the block this week.
Victor could have actually put himself up as a nominee so he would have a chance to compete for Power of Veto, especially knowing the house is gunning for him. But that would have been a risky move. So he decided to put up Tiffany instead, hoping that by nominating her, he would throw a bit of chaos into the mix and things might turn out in his favor. Of course, he was still hoping he would end up drawn as one of the extra players for the Power of Veto as well.
On Saturday morning, Victor lost out on that chance when Da’Vonne and Zakiyah were chosen as the extra players to compete with Head of Household Paulie, and eviction nominees Bronte, Tiffany, and Paul. If the Eight Pack can just make sure that Tiffany does NOT win the Power of Veto, or if she does, does NOT use it to take herself off the block, the backdoor plan is still looking very solid. If anyone else but Tiffany wins, they will be taking either Paul or Bronte off the block, and HoH Paulie will put Victor up in their place. The only potential problem would be if Tiffany wins PoV and panics, pulling herself off the block and giving Victor the power to name her replacement.
Luckily for Paulie and the Eight Pack, it looks like Paulie is on a roll this week. He apparently defeated everyone to win the Power of Veto. Of the backdoor plan stays intact, we expect him to take down either Paul or Bronte and renamed Victor.
