Welcome to the Big Brother 16 house tour with host Julie Chen! We’ve been waiting in wild anticipation for months for the official unveiling of the Big Brother 2014 house, and it’s finally here. Join our gorgeous hostess as she walks us through the newly decorated and newly rewired Big Brother house for season 16.
The Big Brother 16 house is a “whimsical urban tree house-themed dwelling” according to the official press release from CBS. Based on the house tour and the photos, we’d actually go with calling it more of an Earth, Wind & Fire kind of theme going on. This isn’t just a tree house, it has all kinds of other nature references from the four elements thrown in.
Here’s the official description of the house from the CBS press release:
This season, the BIG BROTHER Houseguests will live in a whimsical urban tree house-themed dwelling. The living room features a 20-foot-high wood tree sculpture, and wood panels that give the illusion of peering out into the world from inside the tree. The theme continues with the dining room’s branch-bound chairs and the kitchen’s butcher block island made from thick slabs of eucalyptus trees. Nestled above the living room is an actual tree house shack where the Houseguests can play chess. The Head of Household suite includes a giant bird’s nest for the bed and a wall lined with nearly 1,000 bird houses. Also, the bedrooms’ décor is based on the classical elements earth, wind and fire with the bathroom’s theme being water.
