After some late night discussions, Head of Household and Power of Veto holder James was up in the air in terms of whether or not to use all of the power in the house to keep Clay and Shelli on the block or backdoor an alternate target.
James, Meg, and Jackie were up past 7:00 AM deciding what to do, with backdooring Austin and Vanessa as possible options. Steve’s name had been thrown out too, but they didn’t give it much thought.
Ultimately, James decided NOT to use the Power of Veto, so one of Clay or Shelli will go home on Thursday. Apparently, Clay was immature and told the rest of the house he didn’t want to talk to them or something to that effect, based on the conversations post-ceremony.
It will be interesting to see if Clay or Shelli goes home, with Vanessa angling for Shelli to stay and James pushing for Clay to stay. It really could go either way with Austin, Liz, and Julia likely making the final call. Shelli and Clay throwing Austin under the bus in an attempt to get him nominated might play a very big role in the decision-making as it’s currently weighing heavy on many of the houseguests.
