Last month, Big Brother 19 scheduled a July Friday episode for the Battle Back competition. It brought the network solid ratings, especially for a Friday night episode that aired in the summer. Therefore, it makes sense for CBS to want to repeat that success with another Friday Big Brother 19 episode.
Last season, Big Brother 18 also had two Friday episodes. As with Big Brother 19, the first one showed the Battle Back, where Victor Arroyo won his way back into the game. The second was a clip-show, Ziggy Marley concert and prize episode.
Big Brother 19 has set the second Friday episode for August 18. This will be the week that the first two people join the jury, and most likely the day after a double eviction. Therefore, we highly doubt CBS plans to do the juror returning competition this soon.
Big Brother and CBS most likely want to wait until at least four or five people are in the Big Brother 19 jury house before holding any battle. So we’re ruling out any sort of battle back type competitions this soon. Despite there still being 12 people currently in the house, we’re at the half way point of the season.
The half way party should happen sometime this week. We expect that the events of the half way party will combine with the carnival type theme from last year, and that will be the theme of the Friday episode. It’ll be another concert, clip show, prize distribution episode.
