On last night’s Big Brother 19 episode, Julie Chen finally revealed the Halting Hex curse to the Big Brother 19 audience. After hearing the curse details, this feels like an extended version of the Den of Temptation mixed with the Big Brother Battle of the Block competitions.
The Temptation competition involves Big Brother 19 houseguests choosing to play in an extra competition. If they win it, they are safe for that week, which means that they cannot go up as an initial nominee or a replacement nominee. However, if they place last in the competition, they automatically go on the Big Brother 19 block for that week.
We’re assuming this means they become the third Big Brother 19 nominee of the week. The Head of Household picks the other two. Going into this week, basically anyone who found themselves on the wrong side of the Big Brother vote should play in this competition.
Jessica Graf, Cody Nickson, Elena Davies, and Mark Jansen shoud be competing in this competition. Jessica and Cody are technically safe for the week. However, if both of them manage to stay off or get off the block by eviction night, this allows them to save Jessica’s Halting Hex for one more week. This twist and extra competition actually works out perfectly for people like Cody and Jessica who are good at Big Brother 19 competitions.

After over three hours, the feeds returned to Elena congratulating Mark Jansen on winning the first Temptation Competition. Jason Dent came in last place. Therefore he will be the third nominee for this week. Mark winning the Temptation Comp, and Jessica and Cody being exempt from eviction. If Paul doesn’t nominate Jessica and Cody, and then Elena wins the Veto, this would mean Paul would have to send one of his allies home.
