Big Brother After Dark was on last night, Thursday at 10pm PT (1am ET) after a new Head of Household had been crowned. There was definitely some interesting game talk going on including plots from the entire house to ensure they were safe from eviction this week.

Da’Vonne Rogers and Zakiyah Everette, who are a pretty solid duo, discussed how Nicole Franzel is getting too attached to Corey Brooks. This could be concerning since they are all in a girls’ alliance together known as Fatal Five. The other two members of the alliance are Tiffany Rousso and Michelle Meyer. All five of these women are also a part of the eight pack alliance. Because of this female alliance within the alliance, Da’Vonne and Zakiyah expect that Frank Eudy, James Huling and Corey have their own guys’ alliance, which may also include Paulie Calafiore. Paulie was not in the room when the eight pack was formally made, but he is basically a ninth member to the alliance. The girls were close in the sense that Frank, Corey and Paulie have a “bros” trio alliance, but James is not a part of it.

The male versus female dynamics are not lost on the men in the house. Victor Arroyo, Paul Abrahamian and Frank discussed that there are currently eight girls in the house and six guys. They are worried about it becoming eight to five the girls running everything.

Da’Vonne and Zakiyah also discuss whether or not they should win Head of Household next week (or in the near future). Da’Vonne wants to for the sole reason of being able to say she won a competition, but she doesn’t think they should. With the current state of their game, they can skate by with the majority alliance and no blood on their hands, or targets on their back, for nominating anyone. Zakiyah agrees with Da’Vonne on the plan to not take Head of Household until it’s necessary. They also discussed how much of the eight pack alliance (plus Paulie) is trying to plan for blindside evictions.

Zakiyah, James, Nicole and Da’Vonne discuss the target for the eight pack as being Victor. Since Paulie has won the Head of Household and he is associated with the alliance, they have a chance of getting Victor out; however, they are discussing the possibility of Paulie backdooring Victor. While this is a good strategy at times to try to prevent the target from playing in veto (and being safe if they win), they all think it may be too risky to do since backdoor plans are not guaranteed. If someone is selected for veto and wins – they may not use the veto. In this case, you cannot put your target up as a replacement nominee.
According to the Live Feeds at the time this article was written, Paulie has chosen the option to try to attempt to backdoor Victor. He nominated Paul and Bronte and is hoping that Victor does not play in the veto. They would need the veto to be used on one of the Head of Household nominees, by someone other than Victor, to guarantee he goes on the block for a backdoor eviction. If Victor wins the veto, this will not happen. In addition, if the roadkill nomination uses the veto, the roadkill winner is the one who will select the replacement. Therefore, if Victor wins the roadkill (which it sounds like he did), then that nominee winning veto will make it where Victor cannot be backdoored.

The night ended with some fun celebrating Nicole’s 24th birthday. Paulie, Victor and Corey all decided to do a striptease dance for the birthday girl.
