The Big Brother 17 spoilers are in from the second round of the final Head of Household Competition. Because she won the first round, Vanessa Rousso had to sit this one out. That left Liz Nolan and Steve Moses going head to head, with the winner battling Vanessa in the final round.
Winning the second round of the final Head of Household Competition was crucial for both players, as neither one can really trust any final two deals Vanessa has been laying on them. Vanessa has good (and bad) reasons to take either of the to the final two if she ends up with the choice.

Unlike the first round, we did not get to watch the second round of the final Head of Household Competition on the Big Brother Live Feeds. Instead, we had to wait anxiously through many long hours of Jeff highlights until the Feeds returned around 11:10 PM BBT on Friday night.
After the final three Houseguests came back into view, it didn’t take long to figure out that Steve had managed to snag the win in the second round of the final HoH. Very lucky indeed for Steve, because no matter what Vanessa has been telling him, he absolutely cannot trust her to take him to the final two if she wins the third round.
According to the Big Brother spoilers we gleaned from the Live Feeds, it sounds like the challenge was a climbing puzzle competition. Those tend to be quite fun to watch, but we won’t get to see it until Wednesday night’s finale show. Steve apparently only beat out Liz by a very small margin, so hopefully it will be an exciting comp.
Steve immediately wanted to tell Liz that he and Vanessa have had a final two deal for a while and Liz is out of luck (part of his plan to convince Vanessa he means it, when he’s said to cameras he would actually take Liz). Vanessa, however, has been pushing him hard to keep their final two deal a secret (because she has also final two with Liz, the one we think she plans to stick with, and doesn’t want Liz to know about her lies).
So right now it looks to us (in our opinion) that if Vanessa wins the final round, she would take Liz to the final two because she’s more afraid of Steve’s Jury votes. If Steve wins, he has said when he’s alone that he would take Liz. So even though Liz is upset over not winning the second round, she actually seems to be in the best position of anyone to make the final two as it stands right now!
