Who won Power of Veto on Big Brother 17 and will control what happens with the final Eviction Nominations this week? Will the Head of Household’s plans be shattered by the Power of Veto winner, or is it smooth sailing for their eviction plan?
Before the Big Brother Live Feeds went down for the PoV Competition on Saturday afternoon, one of the Houseguests on the block was actually talking about throwing it. There have been many crazy moves made in the Big Brother 17 house, but throwing a PoV when you are on the block in the final five might have been the most insane decision of the season.
Prior to the Power of Veto Competition, eviction nominee Johnny Mac discussed the idea with Austin and Liz of actually throwing the challenge. He offered this up as an angle to win their support to make a final three deal. While Johnny Mac didn’t absolutely commit to this, the fact that he might even consider it had us a bit dumbfounded.
Thankfully, Johnny Mac seems to have come to his sense because when the Live Feeds came back on after the PoV Competition, it was revealed he won! Now, it’s possible he did actually plan to throw the PoV to Austin/Liz but ended up having to take it so Vanessa or Steve wouldn’t win it. We don’t have all the details yet. But we just hope Johnny Mac was either never really serious about the idea of throwing the comp, or he got smart real quick and realized that would be a terrible, terrible idea.
So Johnny Mac will now be safe this week and Vanessa as Head of Household will have to put either Liz or Austin on the block. If Vanessa is really smart, we’d think it would be time to work on getting either Liz or Austin out for good so she doesn’t end up in the final three with a showmance against her. We’ll have to see if she decides to go for it, or sticks with Steve as a backup eviction plan now that Johnny Mac is safe.
