Paulie Calafiore’s parents, Paul Jr. and Linda, have taken to Twitter to defend their son and also to call out CBS for favoring other houseguests (HG) in the Big Brother 18 house. Paulie’s parents seem to be the most upset with the controversial footage CBS aired last Thursday when Paulie entered the Big Brother jury house.
They feel as though he was unfairly portrayed and one-sided comments were shown about their son.
Paulie went from golden boy of the Big Brother house to public enemy number one after personally attacking Natalie Negrotti. He made degrading comments about her breast implants amougst other things after she told Paulie’s showmance girl, Zakiyah Everette, about all of Paulie’s flirtatious actions towards her. This set off a firestorm in the BB house and eventually resulted in Bridgette Dunning blowing up Paulie’s game on her way out the door to the jury house.
Once Paulie was evicted the following week, Bridgette, Zakiyah and Da’Vonne Rogers anxiously awaited his arrival. Before Paulie even arrived to the jury house, Bridgette was shown calling Paulie a ‘sleazy scumbag’ for his actions and comments towards women. Paulie’s parents claim the name calling by Bridgette had absolutely nothing to do with the Big Brother game play and was insulting to Paulie’s character.
Paulie’s mother, Linda Calafiore, tweeted that the comments made by Bridgette were slanderous and CBS should have never aired the footage, according to an article posted by Inquisitr.com. Paul Calafiore Jr. tweeted, “This is game. Not good w @CBSBigBrother JuryHse letting Bridgette call P a ‘sleazy scumbag’ that’s not game related!”. He also tweeted, “Nat good game play. CBS prod backing her lies w clips but not supporting Paulie’s claims with clips. Complete BULL!”.
The Twitter comments by Paulie’s parents have created an instant Twitter war online with Big Brother fans slamming Paulie’s parents for supporting his atrosicious behavior. Fans on the other side of the issue have come to support the Calafiore family claiming CBS has not been fair with their choice of video clips shown on the Big Brother episodes. Paul Jr. and @EvelDick have also exchanged unpleasantries to one another regarding the sexist comments made by Paulie towards Natalie. As any father should support their son, Paul Jr. tweeted that he would support his son until his last breath. He went on to say that he is not defending his son’s comments or actions in the Big Brother house and wants to speak with him first.
