Big Brother 18 Recap: Frank Pulls Strings, James Tells Secrets 7/14/2016

Another night of Big Brother 18 is in the books. This week, Bridgette became the new Head of Household (although Frank has really been the one in charge). Bridgette nominated Paul and Tiffany for eviction. When the weekly Roadkill competition rolled around, Frank won and chose Spy Girls alliance member Bronte for the third nominee. Left speculating about what happened, Bridgette was a little mad that her alliance member was a chosen nominee while she was the HOH this week.

During Wednesday night’s episode, Bridgette told Bronte that if she were to win the Power of Veto, that she would pull Bronte off the block. Since Bronte was a bit concerned and wanted people to know who she really was, Bronte called for a GT (Girl talk) with the Spy Girls alliance in the HOH room. Bronte informed Bridgette and Natalie that she wasn’t who she said she was and that she really was not a childcare worker that never went to college. She told them that she is an aspiring mathematician and that her dream is was to study prime numbers to fight against hackers for the NSA.

Natalie and James have grown close in the last couple of weeks. James wanted to warn Natalie that Frank was the Roadkill competition winner because he feels that Frank is trying to get Bronte and Natalie on his side — when in reality, he is trying to betray them both by putting Bronte up as a third nominee. Frank previously said that if Bronte were to come down this week during POV that his replacement would be Natalie.

Natalie thought that either Zakiyah or Paulie won the Roadkill competition and put Bronte up. James told her that it was neither Zakiyah nor Paulie and if she were to put two and two together that she would know who won. Natalie figured out it was Frank without James coming out and saying it and she wasn’t sure if he would be coming for her next as a replacement.

It was finally time to pick players for the Veto Competition. Only 6 players are allowed to play which include the HOH, the 3 nominees and two random draws. The first person picked was Bronte but since she was already playing she was able to choose a player to play in the POV. She had chosen Natalie. The second player picked for the POV was Paulie.

Da’vonne announced that it was time for the POV competition. Titled ‘Veto Licious’, The Chefs in training were welcomed into the Big Brother test kitchen. In each round the chosen POV players would be shown a recipe containing several ingredients. The POV players would then be instructed to pour a specific ingredient into the measuring cup. They must pay attention because if they were to pour the correct ingredient they would advance to the next round but if they were to pour the incorrect ingredient, the recipe would go horribly wrong. Not only would the last player remaining win the Power of Veto BUT that person and that person’s team would enjoy a dinner from Outback steakhouse featuring the big Australian menu in the backyard.

Bronte and Natalie were out the first round. Paulie went out the second round, Tiffany went out the third round and Paul went out the fourth round leaving Bridgette to win the POV. In celebration of winning the POV, Frank decided to do a spin and hit each other type move with Bridgette but ended up landing on her ankle instead causing her to have an injury.

Bronte and Bridgette speculate that Natalie may know who won the Roadkill competition or that she may know information that she was not sharing with them for some unknown reason. Bronte decided to go talk to James since Natalie is close with him. Bronte asked James if he knew who won the Roadkill competition and he had told her that he didn’t know anything in fear that it could damage his game if he were to tell her.

Bridgette announced the Outback dinner. Bridgette and her team ‘Category 4, along with team ‘Big Sister’ were to attend the dinner. Bridgette said that she chose for team ‘Big Sister’ to attend because 1. It was Zakiyah’s Birthday and 2. Because Frank and Da’vonne were having a few issues and she was hoping those issues could be resolved with steak and beer. While teams Category 4 and Big Sister were away, Natalie and James were discussing the events that have taken place this past week. Natalie told James that she feels that Frank is using and abusing Bridgette and taking over her HOH and calling the shots.

After returning from the Outback dinner, Frank and Bridgette find themselves relaxing in bed in the HOH room while the other HG’s remained downstairs. Frank told Bridgette that he had won the Roadkill Competition and that he wanted Bronte to be a strong player and wanted Bronte to pick him to play in the POV. Frank also told Bridgette that he had put her up as a nominee the first week in the house. Bridgette thanked Frank for doing that (although she was drunk). She told Frank that he is like a secret weapon and that he knows best in this game.

It was finally time for the POV meeting. In the beginning, Bridgette’s plan was to use the POV if she were to win and pull Bronte down but if that were to chance that Natalie would be the replacement, Bronte didn’t want that to happen. During the POV meeting, Bridgette decided not to use the POV on anyone and left nominations the same. Tiffany, Paul and Bronte remain nominated for eviction.

Tune in Thursday night 9/8c for the results. Who do you think will be leaving the BB house this week?
