Over the last few episodes of The Challenge USA, Big Brother alumni have certainly been dropping like flies. Last week, Big Brother 23 alumni were pitted against one another in the arena to battle for their lives in the game. Kyland Young and Alyssa Lopez from Big Brother 23 fought against one another to stay in the game.
In the end, Kyland was sent home, and Alyssa was left to fight another day. With only four Big Brother alumni left in The Challenge USA, things are looking very well for Team Big Brother. Survivor alumni are powering through the game with consecutive wins. Can Big Brother step up and stay in the game tonight? Let’s find out now.
The host, T.J. Lavin, notified the players that the algorithm that selects the partners each week had been cut from the game. They will no longer be playing with partners. The Challenge USA is now an individual’s game. Each player will be responsible for their fate.
Week 8 Main Challenge
This week’s main challenge is called Having A Blast, and this is a crazy one. This is a men’s challenge meaning only a male player will be eliminated today.
The players will be in inflatable zodiacs riding next to long runways towed by tugboats. Once they are up to the same speed as the runway, the player must jump from the zodiac onto the runway. The catch here is that the runway is covered in soap.
Once successfully on the runway, the player must run to the opposite end of the runway to the key station to retrieve a key. Once they have the key, they must run to the other end of the runway and deposit the key into a safe. They must repeat this process 3 more times. Also, there will be two people spraying water cannons at the players as they try to complete the challenge.
Once all four keys are at the safe, the flag will be raised. That flag must be returned to the key station, and time will stop. The fastest male and female will win this challenge. The winners will pick one male player to face off in the arena against the slowest male in the main challenge.
Once the times were revealed, Enzo Palumbo from Big Brother had the slowest time for the men and was sent to the arena. The fastest woman was Angela Rummans from Big Brother. The fastest man was Ben Driebergen from Survivor. Ben and Angela will decide who faces Enzo in the arena.
Week 8 Arena Challenge
This week’s arena challenge is the infamous Hall Brawl. Angela and Ben chose Leo Temory from Amazing Race to compete against Enzo.
In this competition, the players will run toward one another at full speed, trying to get past their opponent. Once they do get past their opponent, the player must run to the end of the hallway and ring the bell to win that round. The first player to win two rounds wins the challenge.
Enzo won the first round, but surprisingly, Leo was not a pushover. In the second round, Enzo won again. He won the arena challenge this week. Finally, a Big Brother player won the arena challenge and will stay in the game.
