We are seven weeks into this season of Big Brother 23, and Sarah Beth Steagall has ended up her backdoor target firmly on the block for eviction this evening. Derek Xiao was nominated as the replacement nominee after Xavier Prather used the Power of Veto to save himself from the block. Claire Rehfuss is sitting next to Derek X, but she was never the intended target.

Derek X. has played a wonderful game of Big Brother so far. He has won the POV twice this season and has an HOH under his belt. He is sitting pretty with 200 BB Bucks to use next week if he can pull out a miracle and stay in the Big Brother 23 house. Will Derek X. pull out some magic tonight and send Claire home over him?

Week Seven Power of Veto Ceremony Fallout

Baby D is upset with SB and even more upset that he is sitting next to his close ally, Claire, on the block.

The Cookout alliance is somewhat torn on who they want to see evicted this week. Tiffany Mitchell and Azah Awasum both want Derek X. to stay. They feel he would help their Big Brother 23 game.

Xavier went to work on getting his allies in the Cookout to vote for Derek X. this week. Azah was an easy flip, but Tiffany was not going down without a fight. Xavier and Kyland Young both did what they could to convince Tiffany to change her mind to no avail.

The Cookout Is Split Over The Vote

Tiffany has a master plan for her and Azah and Hannah Chaddha to be the final three in the Big Brother 23 house. That plan works better with Baby D still in the house. Can Tiffany work with her allies to get enough votes for Derek X. to stay?

Xavier received some punishments with his Big Brother POV win. One of those punishments was called Strategy Shutdown. Xavier must spend the last 24 hours prior to the live eviction vote in solitary confinement. He is allowed some food and water in the have-not room, but that is it. This is Derek’s chance to get the Cookout to flip.

During his exit interview with Julie Chen Moonves, Derek said has so much regret for not playing Chopping Block Roulette. He thought that he just took too much risk. He was so grateful to America for giving him 100 BB Bucks each week of the High Rollers twist. He also said he may be interested in dating Hannah after the Big Brother 23 season is over.

Week Eight Head of Household Competition

Prior to tonight’s HOH competition, the Big Brother 23 houseguests were advised to memorize the memory wall in the Kitchen. They were also shown videos to memorize.

This competition is called BB NFT’s. Julie will ask the houseguests true or false questions about the NFTs they watched earlier. If the houseguest answers incorrectly, they are immediately eliminated. The last person standing after 7 questions wins.

After five rounds of questions, Tiffany won the HOH competition. Looks like the Cookout alliance is still in charge inside the Big Brother 23 house. Join us again on Sunday, August 29th at 8/7c for Tiffany’s block nominations.
