The summer is just about over, and the stage is set for the final episode of Big Brother 21. The three remaining houseguests are Jackson Michie, Holly Allen, and Nicole Anthony. For those of you that may have been in a cave this summer, Michie and Holly are in a showmance together. Nicole had the opportunity earlier to break up the duo, but that ship has sailed. Nicole certainly regrets missing her opportunity to send one of them to the jury.
Michie won the first round of the three-part Head of Household (HOH) competition. He has proven to be a competition beast this summer; however, his social game hasn’t been the most righteous. Tonight, Holly and Nicole will battle against one another in the HOH round two to determine who will face Michie for the third and final round. The winner of this last HOH will then pick which houseguest they want sitting next to them for the final vote made by the jury to determine the winner of Big Brother 21. Don’t forget, CBS will announce America’s Favorite Player tonight, so let’s get started.
Dr. Will Kirby Visits The Jurors
Big Brother 2 winner and legend Dr. Will Kirby kicks off the jury roundtable. Cliff Hogg III joined the jury as the 8th member. Most expected Cliff to be evicted next. Cliff admitted that he was an idiot for believing Michie would keep him over his showmance partner, Holly.
Analyse Talavera and Kathryn Dunn had a nice debate over Michie’s loyalty in the game. Kat felt he was very loyal, while Cliff made sure to point out that he didn’t keep his word in the end. Cliff made a good point that Michie was a Jekyll and Hyde type bouncing around between friendly, cocky, and condescending.
Quite a few houseguests were torn on whether to vote their heart or base their vote on the love of the game. Nick Maccarone pointed out that Michie had 9, yes 9 competition wins this season. That does say a lot about the houseguest, but was that enough for Michie to win over jury votes? Many disagree because his social game was not on point.
The Holly debate was interesting. A few houseguests gave her credit for Michie getting as far as he did in the season. She held him back when it was needed. She also won comps when it was necessary. Don’t forget she didn’t see the block for 83 days. She only saw it then because there was no one else to nominate.
Final Head of Household Competition Round Two
The second part of the HOH will be played by Nicole and Holly. This is a memory competition where the houseguests much recall the exact day in the house certain events occurred. They must match 12 different memory cards with the exact day that memory occurred. Let’s not forget that they must rock climb to place all 12 memory cards. This is a tough one.
Once all the memories are labeled, they must lock in their answer. If all the answers are correct, the timer stops. If not, the timer will continue until all memories are labeled correctly. The first houseguest to place all 12 days on their memory cards wins round two of the HOH.
Both Nicole and Holly didn’t answer correctly the first time around. This will depend on how quickly they adjusted their answers. Holly finished in 10 minutes and 38 seconds. Nicole finished in 14 minutes and 38 seconds. Holly won the second part of the HOH competition.
Final Head of Household Competition Round Three
This competition is called the Jury Is Out. To win, they must watch eight videos made the jurors talking about the summer at Camp BB. The houseguest must identify which of their three statements is false. For each correct answer, they will receive one point. The houseguest with the most points at the end will win the final HOH of Big Brother 21.
Halfway through the competition, the score is tied with Holly and Michie both having four points. After 8 rounds, Michie had a perfect score and won by a score of 8 to 7 over Holly. This is his 10th competition win this summer.
Final Live Eviction
As expected, Michie chose to evict Nicole and take Holly with him to the final two. The showmance is going to the end together, a rarity in the game of Big Brother. When Nicole exited the house into the studio, she received overwhelming applause.
During her exit interview with Julie Chen Moonves, Nicole told Julie what a transformative experience this has been for her. She has changed from a caterpillar to a butterfly this summer. Julie completely agreed that Nicole has become a beautiful butterfly.
