The plot has certainly thickened in the Big Brother 18 house after an exciting Double Eviction night with only 8 houseguests (HG) still standing. The tides started to turn against Paulie Calafiore, who has been controlling the game for a few weeks. Whether or not Paulie managed to retain that control plus much, much more will be answered in tonight’s episode.
Zakiyah Everette, evicted by a vote of 3-2, was the first casualty of the Double Eviction night as the house finally stood up to Paulie and showed him he did not have all of the power he quite thought he had within the house. James Huling used his America’s Care Package (ACP) power of preventing two HGs from voting on Paul and Corey. Most likely he chose Paul to throw Paulie off from the plan to flip the vote from Michelle Meyer to Paulie’s ally and showmance partner Zakiyah.
Corey Brooks won Head of Household in the ‘Statcathlon’ competition and then nominated Michelle and Bridgette Dunning to the Block after a quick conference with his allies in the Executives. Prior to the beginning of the show and over the course of the last 24 hours, Michelle and Bridgette had rallied the house and finally forced them to realize Paulie had more control than was acceptable in the Big Brother game. This greatly contributed to Bridgette’s demise as the second eviction of the evening by a score of 5 to 1. During her post eviction interview with Julie Chen, Bridgette proudly explained she absolutely did not have any regrets for how hard she played just prior to her eviction with exposing Paulie’s game.
Tonight’s episode of Big Brother should answer many questions for BB fans. A new HOH will be crowned. Will the new HOH be gunning for Paulie or will the competition beast win HOH himself and seek revenge for sending Zakiyah home? Who did the fans pick to receive the third America’s Care Package? This week the recipient will receive ‘Super Safety’ granting them safety from eviction for the week; however, the winner will be donning the Super Safety super hero costume for the week.
These and many other questions will be answered tonight as we watch the dust settle after the thrilling double eviction episode last Thursday.
