Big Brother 25 Power of Veto Week 1 Ceremony Results (08/07/23)

Derek Xiao Power of Veto Ceremony

Expect the unexpected is the infamous Big Brother motto. However, you may want to expect the expected this Big Brother 25 week, especially during the Power of Veto Ceremony. Some players discussed the idea of a backdoor, but that quickly got shut down. Overall, the Big Brother 25 house set their minds on certain nominees and eviction this week.

Additionally, Hisam holds the power, and he doesn’t seem to be considering using the Power of Veto at all. Both sides of the Big Brother 25 house want to keep the nominations the same. They will then worry about Thursday’s eviction.

Currently, both sides want to evict Kirsten. However, earlier this week, Jag pitched to Reilly the possibility of backdooring Izzy. However, she immediately shut the idea down.  She thought that was too bold of a plan for her Head of Household reign. Nevertheless, she would be open to taking out Izzy next week on someone else’s Head of Household.

The fact that both sides are making their sides obvious means that we could see an attempt at a vote flip before Thursday night. Jag would prefer to take out Izzy, but his side knows that Felicia is with the other side. Kirsten is a free agent right now. Jag and his alliance could try to flip the votes to take out Felicia and pull Kirsten to their side.

This would weaken the other side and possibly gain them an ally. However, Reilly and others on her side of the house may not be comfortable taking out Felicia, especially since they spoke about not wanting to take out the oldest person in the house first.

Despite it looking like Kirsten will be evicted first, this is Big Brother and twists come and go all the time. This is also the 25th season of Big Brother, and during a time when not a lot of original programming will be on network television, which could mean that CBS and the Big Brother producers are trying hard to make the season as exciting, entertaining, and interesting as possible. Basically, I think that Kirsten (or Felicia) may not leave the game on Thursday.

A twist could send one of them, and maybe the pre-jury evictees, to the Nether Realm to compete to return to the game. They have enough days to bring some houseguests back. We can speculate and worry about that later. For now, here’s what happened at the Power of Veto Ceremony.

Hisam did not use the Veto. Either Felicia or Kirsten will be the first houseguest voted out of the Big Brother 25 house on Thursday.
