Nick Maccarone wanted to ensure that he remained in the Big Brother 21 house, so he started yesterday by making an appeal to Jackson Michie and Holly Allen. He knew that his only hope of staying in the game depended on if Christie Murphy came off the block. The day before, Tommy Bracco told Nick that he would only have his vote if Christie wasn’t on the block, because he had promised her his vote.
Basically, Nick’s campaign to Jackson and Holly was that he would protect them at all costs: He would be their shield, cheerleader, and pawn, if necessary. He just wanted more time in the Big Brother game. Holly listened to Nick’s pitch but she didn’t want to give him false hope, so she said she would only inform him if things changed. For now, Nick was still very much her target for the week.
Holly then told (almost) everyone that she planned to keep Nick on the block and wanted him out of the house this week. Jackson and her also tried to use this incident to solidify their foursome with Nicole Anthony and Cliff Hogg III. They told him, and Nicole at a separate time, about Nick’s pitch and about him admitting to being the Big Brother Prankster, but this changed nothing for them. They still wanted to be a team with Cliff and Nicole.
The zing still stung for Holly as Tommy explained further that a buzzard gets leftovers, implying that Holly got Kathryn Dunn’s leftovers with Jackson. Holly was upset about how she might be being portrayed. She didn’t want the reputation of an old man stealer.
