Who won America’s Favorite Player on Big Brother tonight and pocket a sweet $25,000 for their summer in the house? Was fan favorite Victor Arroyo rewarded for battling his way back into the house not once, but twice during the season? Or did he once again lose out when the votes came in, this time from the fans instead of his fellow houseguests?
Leading up to the Big Brother 18 finale, all the fan polls seemed to be pretty stacked in favor of either newbie Victory Arroyo, or veterans James Huling or Nicole Franzel, to win America’s Favorite Player. However, it is part of the rules that you can’t win AFP if you make it to the Final Two. Which is only fair, since the person who ends up second already gets a hefty $50,000 prize anyway.
With both Nicole and Paul seriously contemplating taking James to the Final Two as the easiest other houseguest to beat, it was not looking likely James would win America’s Favorite Player this time around.
Which left it most likely that the AFP winner this year would end up being either Nicole Franzel, if she didn’t make it to the Final Two, or Victor Arroyo, the only one near the top of the polls who wasn’t in the Final Three this season.
Interestingly, Paul Abrahamian did not do well in most of the pre-finale fan polls about America’s Favorite Player, so we didn’t expect he would win it, even if he did end up in third place.
So who won America’s Favorite Player on Big Brother 18? Well…
The top three vote getters were Natalie, James, and Victor. But the winner is… Victor!
