Big Brother 18’s Paul Abrahamian and Paulie Calafiore

Thursday night’s episode being a Double Eviction, fans who only watch the TV show were left in the dark about who emerged as the winner of the second HoH Competition of the week. This was a hugely important HoH challenge because half the house was in the midst of a full on revolt against Paulie before the challenge began.

Michelle, James, Natalie, Bridgette and Paul had all banded together to flip the vote against Paulie and evict Zakiyah on Thursday night, instead of Michelle, after they all agreed they’ve had enough of Paulie pulling all the strings in the house. They want him out! Their plans were briefly interrupted, however, when Corey won the first HoH challenge of the week and Bridgette ended up getting the boot in the second phase of the Double Eviction.

If Paulie managed to win the second Head of Household Competition for the week, all of the scheming against him could end up for nothing. In order to keep the revolution alive, the HoH needed to go to one of the conspirators against him, or at least someone who could be convinced to join in on the goal of getting Paulie on the block and out the door.

The Head of Household competition on Sunday night called “Hollywood Squirrels” and involved players having to hit one of three buttons based on items they saw on a screen. The houseguests were arranged in ‘knockout’ pairings against each other, with James going against Michelle, Paulie against against Paul, Victor against Natalie, etc.

Although before the HoH challenge, Paul and Victor had talked about keeping safe by playing in the middle of the house, which kind of implied they might throw the HoH, that’s not how things went down. Instead, we were rather surprised to see Victor Arroyo end up as the player who won Head of Household on Big Brother tonight!

With Victor as the HoH winner, it was all about which side of the house he would decide to throw in with. Would he keep faith with Paulie as he has since he re-entered the Big Brother 18 house, or would he bow into Paul’s arguments that now was the time for a bit of revenge and to make a big move against the guy who has been pulling the strings for weeks and helped get Victor evicted the first time around?

If you can’t wait to find out, you can jump on over to our eviction nominations spoilers for week 8 and see who Victor decided to put up on the block!
