Big Brother 25 Episode 3 Recap: Atomic Wedgies & New Alliances

Reilly Smedley was the first Head of Household winner of Big Brother 25 after she ran the BB Comic-verse balance beam competition faster than all of the other houseguests. She finished the course in just over 16 seconds. As many Big Brother fans know, the first HOH winner does put a target on your back, so it’s hard to say how many houseguests really put their all into the competition.

Reilly was tasked with the decision of removing two houseguests off the block, having to choose between Cory Wurtenberger, Felicia Canon, Jared Fields, and Kirsten Elwin. In the end, she removed Cory and Jared from the block, leaving Felicia and Kirsten on the block for possible eviction this week. Now, the Power of Veto is all that can save them from a potential eviction.

Big Brother Week One Target

Reilly admitted in the dairy room that Kirsten is her target this week. Kirsten has played a little too hard and a little too fast for some of the houseguests. Reilly can’t see being able to trust Kirsten later in the game. Reilly used Felicia as the pawn this week because she is so sweet, and she didn’t think anyone would want to evict her this early in the Big Brother 25 game.

Kirsten feels totally betrayed by Reilly because they are in the Phalanx 5 alliance together. She assumed that would have protected her from staying on the block, but Reilly did not take that alliance seriously. Reilly did what was best for her game as she saw it.

Big Brother 25 Felicia Canon

Reilly met with Felicia to clear the air. She assured Felicia that she was not the target this week and why Kirsten was the target. Reilly wanted to cover her bases to try and keep Felicia on the block in case she won the POV competition this week in Big Brother.

Big Brother 25 Alliances

Reilly and Jag Bains have made a pretty concrete final two alliance. In addition to that duo, three other houseguests were sleeping in the scary room on night one and had formed an alliance. The other three members are Blue Kim, Cameron Hardin, and Matt Klotz. The name of their newly formed Big Brother 25 alliance is the Handful. This was chosen due to all of the scary “hands” in the scary bedroom.

The Big Brother 25 Handful alliance

Felicia became aware that the five houseguests in the scary room were working together. She said you can feel the connection between them. In response, she wants to create an alliance with her room. This Big Brother 25 alliance includes Felicia, Cirie Fields, Bowie Jane, Izzy Gleicher, and Mecole Hayes. Felicia named the group the Bye, Bye Bitches.

The Handful alliance decided that in order to run the Big Brother 25 house fully, they needed to recruit more members to their group. They also brought in Jared Fields, Cory, and America Lopez. They feel that they all bring something different to the table.

The first thing Jared did was tell his mother, Cirie, about the 8-person alliance he was invited to join. She is glad he is in the alliance, but she is worried that she was not included in the group. Cirie did share with Hisam of the 8-person alliance.

Week One Power of Veto Competition

In addition to the HOH and block nominees, Hisam Goueli, Blue, and Cameron were randomly chosen to compete in the first POV competition of Big Brother 25.

This week’s POV competition is called Atomic Wedgie and is sponsored by the Humili-verse. Houseguests must stack 35 different wildflowers on their base and hit their buzzer first to win this competition. The catch is that at any time, they could be snatched up into the air and receive an atomic wedgie to throw them off of their game. Let’s play Atomic Wedgie.

In addition to receiving a wedgie at any time, the houseguests also occasionally get sprayed in the face with water to make the competition that much more challenging.

POV winner Hisam

After a grueling 36 minutes of Atomic Wedgie, Hisam is the first to stack all of his wildflowers on the base and hit his buzzer to win the first POV competition. He must decide whether or not to use the power to take either Felicia or Kirsten off the block this week. Reilly doesn’t want the nominations to change so that she can target Kirsten for eviction this week.

Week One Power of Veto Ceremony

At the POV ceremony, Hisam decided not to use the power to take either nominee off the block this week. This means that either Felicia or Kirsten will be evicted from the Big Brother 25 house this week. If all goes to plan, Reilly will succeed in evicting Kirsten from the Big Brother 25 house this week.
